So the MOD briefed him on possible ufo's. They probably just told him whatever they wanted. The fact that he was briefed is just par for the course really. Being PM affords him these type of briefings.
It is my opinion, that nothing of any significance was ever disclosed to him, just the normal run of the mill briefing. It happens often when documents are up for declassification, be it "x files" or any other files.
