Why today's movies suck

OK. So they've done it again. They have made a really shoddy remake. "Total Recall". And what did they do? They took out the boobies. No bare 3 breasted woman, no Sharon Stone topless, nothing. This is getting to be a trend and it ruining movies. I watched "I Robot" and had to look at Will Smith's bare butt yet again, but when it was time to see the cute leading lady in, the shower did not show anything. WTF? Then in "I am Legend" we had to sit through Will Smith's bare butt again. But not a glimpse of the leading ladie's boobs. In "Omega Man" we got to see the hot little black chick's boobs. It was part of what made that movie better than the new one.

I know that film makers are trying to get a PG-13 rating, but we can be subjected to a man's bare ass but not a boob? How is that right in any way? Boobs should be required in EVERY movie. Especially these awful chick flicks. It would make them bearable for the men who are forced to sit through them. I was forced to sit through "Mama Mia" and had to be subjected to that tripe, yet not one of the women in the movie showed a thing! How can that be legal?

They are going to have to bring back female nudity in movies before people start seeing movies again. I am so sick of being forced to see naked men and no boobs. "Terminator 3" Showed us once again Arnold Swartzenegger nude, but when it came time to see the hot female terminator it was too dark to see anything. How is that right? How does that sell tickets to movies made for men? Most men are not perverts who want to see other men nude. They want the boobies. But we do not get the boobies. Are ALL filmmakers queer?

I am not even going to try to see the new "Total Recall" movie because of the lack of boobs. It just would not be right. In fact, unless I am certain there will be boobs in a movie, I will not go see it at all. I suggest we all boycott it and all other movies that won't give men what they want. If you're a man and do not want to see the leading ladies boobs then you're gay and you're opinion doesn't count.

I even watched "Eurotrip" the other day hoping to see the cute chick's boobs. All we saw was her back. Big deal. What a let down. Then it was "Death Race 2000". No boobs again. The original had both Sylvester Stallone getting beat up by Kung-Fu guy and boobs. Made it a classic. The new one? It sucked. "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" had plenty of boobs. But if they remake it I can promise it will suck because there won't be any boobs. Even "16 Candles" had boobs. "Weird Science" had boobs. But new movies? No way. No freaking way.

I do not get it. Why ruin good movies by not showing the boobs? There should be a law that no actress can be in more than 2 movies without a boob scene that shows more than a side boob. I went and endured "I love you Beth Cooper" because of the promise that cute little chick from Heroes was topless in it. What did we get? NOTHING. I wanted my money back but they would not give it to me just because there were no boobs in it.

Can anyone explain why females won't do the right thing and show us the goods anymore? I just can't comprehend why so many classic movies have to be ruined by not having nudity. It just makes no sense.

Yeah, I'm having hard time looking for a movie on Netflix myself.

that new guy doesn't even feel like a main character for total recall, arnold did great with that, this new guy just looks kinda generic, but not in a normal joe kinda way, but a typical hollywood kinda way...

I didn't expect that.

Too many liberal bleeding hearts actors and actresses with "moral" attitudes.

Any modern action film I have watched recently seem to try to be in the "real world". Gone is the over the top action and cheesy one liners replaced with tame CGI effects and a 12A certificate (PG-13 in the states).

Like the Total recall remake, I don't have high hopes for the new Judge Dredd or Commando movies.

If you think the only reason worth re-making Total Recall was to have a contemporary shot of a 3-breasted woman, OP, you're missing the point! Movies today do suck, I agree, but I think it's for entirely different reasons.

I think we're forgetting about a little thing called "context." Just inserting nudity into a movie that doesn't need or require it in the context of the scene's message is useless. It was essential in Total Recall (the original) because it made sense for the kind of setting that was being established.

It was essential in movies like Eyes Wide Shut because it added to the excitement and conflict the characters were supposed to be feeling--in this case it was realism that was being evoked.

A lot of movies--especially horror and stoner comedies have nudity scenes that in no way contribute to the purpose of the scene, the context of the characters, or even the plot of the movie

Nudity only makes sense in the proper context, in the right taste, and if it helps distinguish the scene or characters. Most of the time it's just a cop-out to get people to come and see some nudity from a well-known actress.

Yeah, yeah, yeah..all the "dudes" can laugh and point at me now.

By the way: I was watching the original Tobey Maguire Spider-Man the other night..and Kirsten Dunst gets that scene in the rain with her wet shirt where certain features were accentuated..she looks gorgeous..but that was totally inappropriate for the scene in a Spider-Man movie

Yeah and it saved an otherwise forgettable movie. I don't get Harold and Kumar. If they are stoners, why don't they hardly ever smoke anything? The dynamic is just not there. Harold doesn't like Kumar and Kumar is too dumb to understand that. Just not funny. But the bottomless scene saved it.

Only Hollywood movies suck.

The indy world is putting out some of the most fantastic films like "Winters Bone" "Juno" etc.

But I worked on "No Country for Old Men" that didn't suck.

And Neither did "Crazy Heart" that I was a background/extra in.

I like Breasts as well as the next man but it's about the Story isn't it?

My mother-in-law has saturday movie nights. I think there have been about 5 movies in the last 6 years worth of saturdays that I actually enjoyed. I had no idea someone would go to all that time and trouble and spend so much money producing crap! I have no idea where she finds the stuff she brings home. She also has this annoying habit of stopping the movie and putting in another one on the first swear-word or nudity scene - so I can't comment on the boobies.

I now have an e-reader so I can read in the dark while "watching' movies.
