Here is an interview with Dr. Greer, leading member in TheDisclosure Project speaking on why the UFO/ET field is often taken from a "silly" standpoint. I recommend watching all his videos because he seems to understand a lot.

Steven Greer and his ilk are just one of the many reasons people don't take the UFO subject seriously , snake oil salesmen and hucksters .
Steve's light being picture ..... or Moth to normal people

I understand how people feel about different things, but I think it's hard to assume what someone may know. That's what sucks about Truth. Unless it's proven on an individual standpoint, it is VERY hard to believe. Still, I think that it's important to take multiple opinions and compare them. This isn't meant to be the ONLY answer, but just another crossreference to use.

Thank you, I've been on here many times simply reading and the criticism is unbelievable. Still, I think it's only fitting to have extremely critical people on a site like this. It helps to separate true false.

You should edit the OP and change the title to "Why people don't take ET seriously?"
and then just say "Dr.Greer"

Well I could, but then that would provide an opinionated answer to a question that can be answered in many ways. I'd rather have criticism in the thread itself then try to act like a "smart-ass" and answer a question myself (one that for most people like us is difficult to answer.)

Good post OP, ignore the negative folk on here..

Negativity toward a known hoaxer and self publicist is justified , the OP should take it on board and do some research on the guy he is promoting .

Yes, the TRUTH, the real truth is often boring, because the real truth often reveals that our heroes are fake, and our fantasies and desires are just a bunch of wishful smoke.
Yes, it's very difficult for many people to accept that most of everything in the UFOlogy circus that gets hyped is fake, or simply misunderstood misidentification.

Sure, there's some puzzling cases that make one go hmmmm, but, most of the circus barkers are charlatans looking for your $, Steven Greer among them.

Often UFO researchers start out sincerely looking for the truth. What often happens is that in order to continue research into UFOs, without becoming a national security threat, they have to willingly or unwillingly show or demonstrate publicly their belief in something that discredits them or shows that they cannot distinguish between a potentially real ET-UFO and non-UFO phenomena.

This often manifests itself as an inability to distinguish between natural and potentially real ET Phenomena, often times it could be research into very suspect forms of evidence like the MJ-12 papers, sometimes the level of education plays a role; if a UFO researcher does not have a background or education in scientific research then that could serve as a way to discredit themselves. Sometimes they could be outright charlatans.

So, try to be understanding of the people who may be under pressure, while at the same times not believing everything they say.

I agree, I also find it rather sad and unfortunate that no matter how credible or incredible information/ people may seem, there is NO way of knowing the truth unless it is discovered or experienced first hand. Relativity plays a big part in belief and understanding, but I think relativity is something that can be overlooked, if as people/prophets say is true: that we and the entire universe are connected to a single conscious

I didn't mean it in a bad way but you were promoting him by recommending people check out his other videos .

Steven Greer may well have started out with the best intentions but quickly realized that this subject was a potential gold mine of people willing to pay good money to be told what they want to hear , he's has shown over and over that he's willing to say or do anything to get a slice of that pie .

Prime Example
