In looking at this avatar, when worn it is a bit large, is there any way to shrink it a bit?

Here you go mate - that should do it - Avatars need to be 170 x 240 to get the right fit. (yours was 180 x 270)

No problem at all my friend..........funny that - the Purple warrior (Doppelganger) is one of my favourites too.

Back on page 77 I have posted links to all of my previous Avatars (over 100) - the majority of which are for the Ladies. Feel free to take what you like - most are set up as backgrounds so they appear larger like mine - if you want customized ones then Agarta is your man and his fee is very modest .............enjoy.

I made the eyes blink for you, it's not really flashy, but I thought you might like it.



Oh I also cleaned up some pixels around the eyes and adjusted the brightness of them.

Let me know if you want it to blink faster or slower or if you want anything else changed.

I may have to have a squizz at your latest contributions my Sandgroper friend, when I'm a little more sober, already I'm seeing many I can use to further exemplify the Templar name lol.... In the meantime have you returned to your forward command base, or are you still a landlubber like the rest of us landlocked individuals dreaming of a greenish blue horizon????

In the meantime it's good to see regulars keeping this thread alive, I must get back to my directing newer members to this thread for their own little piece of avatar real estate, I fear our Chiten friend has been inundated with prepubescent students to keep her otherwise busy for the time being... , so it lies upon us non-teachers to keep bumping the thread and letting those know who are new here where they can get an optimal piece of artwork to call their own....

I apologise for any typos or any 'non-making-sense' styles of writing, the Western and Southern Australian vineyards have been a rather constant companion during this darkest hour sadly. I hope to return in a more sober state with some new members and hopefully some new artwork to go along with it.

Currently anchored off Dampier and sober - but if you keep breathing my way I'm sure to get a little tipsy eventually - hiccup

Unfortunately until I can master GIMP I'm afraid all I would do is make it end up looking like a dogs breakfast - if you PM Agarta or one of our new talented friends and they have the time, I'm sure their skills can easily blend it altogether in no time.

I personally like the bottom brooch - I think it will suit nicely.

And yes that would be great to see - gee that pic is beautiful - looks just like my wife - bless her Irish heart.

It is already somewhere on the interwebs, but you need to right click on the image and hit "save image". Then goto the persistent "TOOLS+" link at the top of every page, and goto ATS UPLOADS.

There'll be a bar near the upper left the denotes uploads. Click it, then choose the image you just saved. You now have your avatar in your own directory on ATS. You can do several, and switch back and forth as you like.

After you have uploaded, it'll show in your gallery, and then right click and open it. There'll be a link to Avatar background pic.

In your profile settings, there is a spot for Your Avatar, and Your Background Image. You need to post a transparent avatar, (use this link, many others use it as well, it's simply a transparent Your Avatar, but put that link in your Your Avatar space.) files.abovetopsecret.com... and then submit. You are now free to post a Your Background Image pic, which Sub had graciously provided many of, all ready to go. Pick any. All Free, and change them as often as you like, till you find your ATS identity.

To make it simple, you are making your avatar transparent, but utilizing the background image as your avatar. It's creative.

Hope that helps, and post any questions you have. Many people will help you. Just ask.

Well hello there all!

I am very impressed with some of the work in this thread, some really great stuff.

I would like to formally request an avatar. I am not skilled in the art of photoshopfu and need a sensei.

I dont have anything particular in mind, honestly, but I have little doubt that if someone would be kind enough to take some time to help me out that there is a great idea to be had! Maybe read through some of my posts or something? Havent made too many, so I doubt anyone knows my screen name to begin with. I dunno, help me help you help me.

I am not very good at asking for things from people, so please only do it if you are bored, have copious spare time that you just dont know what to do with, and perhaps have a six pack o' beer ready and waiting already.
