I have to wonder why Bush and Chenny continue to speak out on the WMD issue when it seems that they just keep digging their own grave. Now I'm Canadian, and don't have as big a stake in the election as all my fellow Americans here on ATS, but don't you think that they would be better of saying that yes, the intelligence was wrong. Yes, Saddam didn't pose as big a threat to us as we though, but we're in IRAQ now, and we have to finish the job that we started. Maybe just a simple admission that the plan was not well though out and is not going as well as they though would go a long way in re-establishing their credibility?

I used to like Bush...4 years ago I got into many a political "argument" with American friends and friends here at home who did not support him...but I have changed my mind, and don't think that he has done a good enough job for your fine country. Please Mr. Bush, just face the facts, come clean, and move on. Being resolved and staying the course on an issue is great, but when it turns out what you are doing isn't working, you have to evolve with the situation.

Thoughts?

p.s. Anyone think Chenny's debate "mispeak" regarding factcheck.com was on purpose? Is Chenny tired of Bush too?

Not with me. It's too late for that. They had their chance. Remember at Bush's last press conference (months ago) when the reporter asked him if he had made any mistakes? I'll try to find that clip for you. Pigheaded, stupid, and stubborn. That's the Texas way.

You're a FLIP FLOPPER, then!

Funny how clear that is to a Canadian. Don't hold your breath. Just hope that he does as well at tomorrow's debate as he did at the last one...

Ha! I hadn't thought about that. I don't think so, though. As long as Bush is acting like the President, Cheney's in less danger. He's a coward, you know.

Well, If they say Kerry's a flip flopper, then I guess I don't mind being labelled as one either

I did see that clip of bush not being able to remember (or not willing to admit) he had made any mistakes. One more reason why I like him less and less.

I'm a little worried, I even made a prediciton in the predicition forum a long time ago that the WMD's were found and hidden away to be brought out just a little while before the election. Now I made this prediciton based on the chatter (sorry could not resist) on the grapevine that supposedly a soldier who was there and saw the WMD's at the beginning of the war said they had been found and could not understand why the rest of the world did not know about it. To hear it though the grapevine is like, This is like my cousins neighbor who has family in another state whose neighbor has a fourth cousin who said that he is friends with someone who knows someone who said they know someone who said this..... So if this is true then they have been hidden and waiting to be pulled out to smack Kerry right in the face with it after he has built a great deal of his campaign on the WMD nor being found.
As for Cheney's slip of the tongue on the website, I think it is hysterically funny.

The White House (aka Bush) admits the information was wrong. They admit that there was not legitimate proof that there were any WMDs in Iraq. Furthermore, the War in Iraq is a shamble based on false pretenses, and if it wasnt for a few pieces of paper and a little bit more reasearch we could have saved a few trillion dollars and even better, over 15,000 innocent lives.

let see if bush is digging his own grave Hummm.........

He has threatened the world peace, with his war in Iraq,

He has ignored Israel and Palestinian relationships until taking sides with Israel recently and no even looking at the Palestinians.

The invasion of Iraq is a mess,

He is building a better world at the expenses of the American people and the Iraqis.

Now this one is funny he refers to NK dictator as a Pygmy, and with that his relationship with NK is almost no existence.

He declared that bin-ladden the mastermind of 9/11 was not in his mind.

He emphasized his goal of rebuilding Iraq while we in this country are facing lost of jobs, and health care that most American cannot afford. But he will spread prosperity to Iraq.

The Iraqis and Afghanistani are trill to the prosperity and peace his has brought to their countries.

Its hard to find a true Iraqi and afghanistani since during bush war 10s of a thousand has die, very soon Iraq will be all Arab nationals that have migrated to fight the coalition.

Our country is determined to spread hope and economic progress and freedom as the alternatives to hatreds, resentments and terrorist violence it sure looks like the dark age Christian crusaders spreading Christianity in the holy land, Convert or die

I can go on and on but we all know he already has dug his grave all right.

I highly doubt that WMD have been found and are being held for a big october surprise. The gov't says they're there and find none. then they say they might not be there and the information might not have been so reliable.

then they find the wmd? How dumb would they look then? War on bad intelligence, then recanting on even worse intelligence? Nope. I doubt we'll find a stockpile of wmd.
At this point, if they did find them, they might actually look less foolish if they simply found them, destroyed them and moved on to other things.

Marg, each day that passes by, more and more people wake up to the fact that this government is the cause of all the evil going on. Debates are full of lies, the war is a mess, job losses and poverty getting worse, A president who doesnt care about its people, repeatedly lying about our cause for us to invade Iraq, the WMD, fake terror threats, yadda yadda yadda...no end in sight.
Its an insult to the American people to have to face this every day, and a BIGGER insult to see Bush debating
, for christs sake, Hitler was a madman, but he had intelligence...Couldnt the powers that be have placed a more intelligent figure in the White House?
Now, we have 2 more debates which we will cringe and be embarassed that "our leader" will make us look like bigger idiots.
AND the stupider Bush is on the debates, the more the "right" defends him and his honor. Somebody pinch me..

I know the next 2 debates will be a disaster for Bush (Im psychic)
So with 3 failed debates, no substance, a bunch of lies, I highly doubt he'll be elected again. (legally, anyways)
I hope to wake up from this nightmare and discover that Sponge Bob is the new president

Now, this is better

Indeed, he didn't pose a threat to us and No, he didn't have connnections to Al Queida. But what we did was take a Genocidal leader out from a position where he was wreaking havoc upon his own people! We took out a man who killed people at his own whim. For his pleasure to say. he was a Dictator-for-life and then some.

Actually, the incumbent "president" seems intent on preparing as many graves as possible. Anyone remember when he made claims 60 days ago that he wanted to be remembered as a "Peace" president?

And how is the mission to Mars going?

And the location of Saddam's WMDs?

And the bringing to "justice" of Osama Bin Laden?

This jerk has the worst pre-presidential and presidential record of all time. Cheer him on, he can use it. Write to him in jail too.

Don't worry things are getting better and that oil-iraq-bush-war conection is going to be the center stage very soon.

And the France oil for food conection is going to be even better than haliburton scandal when the leak comes out as which american companies were getting money too.

I hope is before elections.

It amazes me that people still support him because they say he is consistent and sticks to his decisions. So far he has been consitently wrong about the threat Saddam posed and all of his decisions on how to win the peace in Iraq have been wrong or misguided.

If fear wasn't a factor, no one in this country would stand for such miserable failure his presidency has been. I honestly think that people who support him don't want to admit they were wrong either, and by not supporting him they would essentially be saying the same thing.

Pride, its a killer.

Bush is a consistent criminal, full speed ahead. All the lies are biting him in the rear end and the more lies the more the Republicans root him on.

Is it just that they dont want to say they're wrong?
What the H is it with these people?
By now, If I were a right winger, id have seen whats going on and said, hey, wait a minute, im not voting for this jackass.

Ps..On the bright side..Remember Michael Moore? As Republican as Arizona (cringes) is, Michael is totally sold out at speech he's giving tomorrow!!!
Good for you, Michael, so what if you're FAT? ( Republicans love to point this out) You have the truth and always did. Congratulations.

Ok, the next time we are electing a follower, I might vote for Kerry. But in November, I intend to elect a leader.

Thank the heavens you are not just another blind follower of Bush and the incumbent administration, and you will be casting your vote against this bad joke of a "president" and using it more wisely.

The congress including John F. Kerry were NOT informed of STRONG DISSENT by the Energy department of the 'aluminum tube's' useability in a centrifuge.

WHAT THE WHITEHOUSE KNEW:

The next day, Energy Department officials ticked off a long list of reasons why the tubes did not appear well suited for centrifuges. Simply put, the analysis concluded that the tubes were THE WRONG SIZE - too narrow, too heavy, too long - to be of much practical use in a centrifuge.

The tubes now sought by Iraq had precisely the same dimensions - A PERFECT MATCH [for combustion chambers for slim rockets fired from launcher pods.].
www.nytimes.com...

CONGRESS DIDN'T GET THE TRUTH:

But several Congressional and intelligence officials with access to the 15 assessments said not one of them informed senior policy makers of the Energy Department's dissent [over usability of the 'aluminum tubes' for a centrifuge]

"They NEVER LAY OUT THE OTHER CASE," one Congressional official said of those C.I.A. assessments.
www.nytimes.com...

The Whitehouse had information THEY DID NOT SHARE with the congress.

Excuse me Mr. Bush, but John F. Kerry DID NOT have access to all the information you did.

BUSH IS LYING EACH AND EVERY TIME HE SAYS JOHN F. KERRY HAD THE SAME INFO HE DID.

Bush and Cheney MISLED us into war.
