It isn't about republicans or democrats. They both want to enslave us. This is not about bammy or bommy. They are both servants of their corporate masters. This is about the government taking even more power and liberty away from us. The R's and D's are just the heads and tails of the same coin. They are not working for us or against each other. Why won't you people wake up?

In your opening post you went on about choking liberals, now it's both parties to blame. If that's the case why are you for assaulting liberals only?

OP..this is one I wish I could give a hundred flags. I feel the same way. OK maybe for a sitting state govenor to go the gestapo comparison is a bit much but I think it is fine for a discussion in an online forum. But I am not criticizing it either. No we are not anywhere near the atrocities committed by the Nazi regime. But each loss of freedom directly caused by a further expansion in size and power of the federal government opens the door to that possibility in the future. We here in the US of A were founded in a "government of the people, by the people, for the people". Getting our free republic was hard, lot's of fighting, lot's of strife and sacrifice. Unfortunately that was the easier part. I has been stated by so by some before us, that keeping it will be the hard part. God Bless our country and may the populace see in mass where we are headed, and elect leaders that are indeed of the people!

People seem to forget that after the war America opened it's arms wide to Nazi scientists, Nazi intelligence, and the fascist handbook which they have been slowly using and improving on over the last sixty years.
America today is on the verge of becoming Nazi Germany 2.0 .
So anyone using those terms to describe American policies today is bang on in their description.
Anyone who criticizes the use of those terms is either ignorant ,in denial or just plain asleep to reality.

I didn't read thru the posts yet but does anyone remember the 60 tactical shotguns they were given last year? This is a plan they intend on coming together.

Again, no. The Gestapo were responsible for the imprisonment and murder of tens of thousands, if not hundreds fo thousands of political dissidents. You can make all sorts of reasonable objections to the SCOTUS ruling in relation to the ACCA, but to compare it to Nazi Germany is high school level hyperbole.

its only early days they have the coffins and concentration camps ready, if you look at the government as a whole they are nazi

big pharma kill hundreds of thousands per year under government supervision

i agree with obamacare but the government has gone nazi or facism is the proper name

Comparing the expansion of Medicade to the Nazi's is just immature nonsense. Get some perspective. Comparisons like this only serve to muddy the debate, and the recent SCOTUS ruling is bad enough without needing to compare it to gas chambers.

You are either blind, or being obtuse. It isn't about the health insurance. WAKE UP! It is about the power grab that they just accomplished under your very nose. OPEN YOUR EYES! Now they can force you to buy health insurance or take your money. Next it might be orange juice, or GM cars, or being forced to move all of your money to certain "approved" institutions(you do know that the health insurance companies are "licensed", meaning approved, by the government....right? What gives them the right to FORCE citizens to buy anything?

True.

Instead of bitching like a baby on a forum, I left the USA. You stayed.

So shut up about it already, you made your choice, Mr. Florida.

no need to be rude man

all Americans cant just move and its a bit gutless too move, in Australia we are banning those from migrating here who wont help their own

people who flee to another country bring their problems with them then flee when the going gets tuff,
who needs em

Some run and hide, as if they could.
Others stay and try to fix things, as they should.

Interesting you say that. I was just at my friends house the other day. His wife is German. Right now she's got half of her family from Germany at their house visiting for the summer. One is a banker. the other an electrical engineer. and the sister in law a baker.

All of them remarked how America is acting and beginning to do the same stuff Germany did right before the Nazi's took over. The electrical engineer who hasd worked all over the world on various projects from china to russia to germany and the us said that the US is becoming more and more like a police state.

Not good when Germans are calling Americans Nazies.

This is not "pandering", he is speaking the truth.

Sure it is. You just dont know what 'pandering' means

the expression of one's views in a manner that appeals to voters

We are becoming like Nazi Germany.

I'm no fan of the SCOTUS ruling on the ACCA, or the expansion of Medicaid, per se, but comparing it to Nazi Germany is absurd hyperbole. The US unilaterally invading a sovereign nation is like nazi germany. Killing political dissidents by the tens of thousands is like Nazi Germany.Comparing the expansion of Medicade to the Nazi's is just immature nonsense. Get some perspective. Comparisons like this only serve to muddy the debate, and the recent SCOTUS ruling is bad enough without needing to compare it to gas chambers.

Partially correct. No, we are not exactly Nazi Germany. We are, however, implementing the same exact policies as the Weimer Republic whose failure led to Naziism. We are also implementing things that were similar to what Hitler's Germany was attempting to accomplish for a socialist perspective.

So, no, we are not exactly Nazi Germany and so a direct comparison will always have differences. that does not, however, mean that a comparison cannot be made and parallels found which are, imho, very frightening.

Your nitpicking the comparison is no less fallacious than the poster's attempts to directly compare the US to Nazi Germany. Hyperbole in both your arguments.

Amen to that. I was thinking the same thing. Independence day has lost its true meaning. Now our tyrannical government is just turning up the heat and we are the proverbial frog in the pot of water getting cooked slowly as we r oblivious to the end of what little freedoms are left.

Yeah. Everybody is caught up in cookouts and days off. Nobody pays any attention to WHY we have Independence Day. Especially now when so many are dependent on the government and independence is anathema to them.
