Most have heard that expression. Obama seems to be following this mantra because everything he’s doing is leading to more destruction.

I don’t care about your party affiliation or lack thereof. The reality we face under this Obama administration is job loss. We can blame Obama, blame Bush, blame TPTB or blame the American people for the situation we’re in. Regardless, it’s happening and it’s not going to get better if Obama is re-elected – that’s a fact.

The following are 10 ways that Obama is killing jobs in America....

#1 Blocking The Keystone Oil Pipeline

The Keystone pipeline would have created thousands of new jobs. It would have stretched 1,700 miles from Canada to Texas. It would have been a major step toward independence from Middle East oil. It would have brought more than 700,000 barrels of oil a day from the heart of Alberta to refineries in Texas.

#2 Obamacare

Obamacare is going to require all businesses that have at least 50 full-time workers to either provide very expensive health insurance for their employees or pay a $2,000 penalty for each worker after the first 30 employees.

#3 Crippling Regulations

The Heritage Foundation says that "the Obama Administration imposed 75 new major regulations from January 2009 to mid-FY 2011, with annual costs of $38 billion. There were only six major deregulatory actions during that time, with reported savings of just $1.5 billion."

In addition, right now federal agencies are working on thousands more new regulations for U.S. businesses.

#4 Taxes

Barack Obama keeps trying to hit us with sneaky new taxes. There are more than 20 new taxes in the Obamacare law alone.

#5 "Free Trade" Agreements

Because we have such radically unbalanced trade, our formerly great manufacturing cities are turning into festering sores. Cities that were once teeming with economic activity have degenerated into hellholes.

During 2010 alone, an average of 23 manufacturing facilities permanently shut down in the United States every single day.

Barrack Obama continues to spend 150 million dollars per hour and there is no sign of letting up. Our financial system and economy will collapse if we do not change course….there is no doubt in my mind. Do we need a collapse to reset? Do we have to hit rock bottom? Can we rebound if we do?

TPTB are driving this bus and Obama is their current figurehead.

America is in free-fall and Obama’s foot is firmly on the gas pedal.

We know what TPTB want…they want more money and power to themselves and less for everyone else!

We are divided along political ideologies and nothing appears to be changing in that regard (I'm as guilty as anyone).

What’s it going to take to get everyone on board to stop this insanity?

The endless drive for corporate profit is driving the US economy into the ground combined with a multitude of other things of course..

Starbucks wants you to donate to them in order to stop them from outsourcing, then turn the story around like they are the heroes.

Your $5 donation can help create another American job. We’ll even send you an “indivisible” wristband to wear proudly as a symbol of your support.

The coffee company has been a standout among its peers in the tough global economy because consumers have started indulging in more small luxuries like lattes. It has also expanded overseas, increased the number of products it offers and upped its presence in grocery stores and other retailers to help drive growth.

The company reported after the market closed that it earned $358.5 million, or 47 cents per share. That's up from $278.9 million, or 37 cents per share, last year. After adjusting for one-time gains and an extra week in the prior quarter, the company earned 37 cents compared with 32 cents last year.

I would never knock a large corporation for doing things to promote jobs or give back to the communities in which they operate. I think the too-big-to-fail corporations (including the big banks) are the real problem. They have bought and paid for our so-called representatives. Starbucks is a player but they don’t fit into the category of 1% by any stretch.

By the way, I have given you grief lately about your one-liner posts in other threads but I must thank you for the thoughtful response here.

I’m worried about the next 12-24 months…I think America is near the breaking point (hello Rome!) and I don't know how long we can sustain the present course.

#1 Blocking The Keystone Oil Pipeline

It would have been a major step toward independence from Middle East oil.

An independent study conducted by the Cornell ILR Global Labor Institute reports that the crude oil routed to the Gulf Coast will end up being exported to Asia , and not contribute to energy independence or national security.

THE AMERICAN DREAM website where you got that from could not even get their facts straight on the very first point! So why should I waste my time reading the rest of the piece?

I don't like Obama, but I do have to say that I really don't think it matters who the President is. He was handed a job that was messed up (maybe beyond repair)and has did nothing to help the U.S. out from under the Bush (pun intended). I think that there is an script already in place and it doesn't matter who the actor is.
Until the U.S. restructures their import and export laws to help American business we will continue to lose jobs and morale. There used to be meaning to the words "Made in America", those words represented the highest quality of goods that could be produced. Hopefully those words will return with the same meaning in the near future.

Why are people still trying to promote Keystone oil pipeline like it will save America. Why would anyone be willing to risk oil leaking above aquifers to allow greedy oil industry to make more money. Let Canada sell the tar sand oil to other countries. If the oil was going to be used in the US they wouldn't need to ship it to the gulf coast.

I want to point this out with a pic.. I dont even have to say anything.

I have heard there will be no penalty if you dont pay this.. I am not sure however..

You know the interesting thing about this.. I pay 1/3rd of my paycheck for taxes.. I make 310 bucks a week and bring home 235..

And you think Romney would fix all of this?

and please spare me the "ron paul would" line, and give me a realistic answer as to how you think Romney would fix all of these things that Obama caused

Has Romney even said how he plans to get the economy back on the right track again?

let me see...

It'll probably consist of trickle down economics

AFAIK on day one he will repeal Romneycare and replace it with Obamacare
He'll improve the unemployment rate by cutting funding for teachers, police and firefighters.
And then he'll cut the deficit by slashing taxes and increasing defense spending.
The rest he can't tell you, cause he learned that when you say to people what you want to do they do not want to vote for you, if they don't like it, so he's not gonna tell.

First of all, this thread is about how Obama is killing jobs not oil independence. Try to pay attention. This would have created JOBS and Obama got rid of those JOBS.

Secondly, America produces roughly 58% of all the oil we consume while we import an additional 21% from Canada and Mexico. It's not a stretch to say that if we increase the 21% from Canada even slightly while maintaining or (better yet) increasing our own oil production we would be one step closer to weaning ourselves off foreign oil.

Muse, I’m not here to advocate for Romney or do your homework for you.

If you are an American voter, the question you need to be asking yourself is “What compels me to believe that Obama will miraculously reverse course and undo the damage he’s done?” IMO he appears to be full steam ahead towards more job loss. How is Obama's plan to fix the economy going?
Be honest!

The topic is about JOBS.

Who is the brilliant one here?

The pipeline would create JOBS and it was merely the first of 10 ways Obama has lost this country JOBS. Can you get beyond your hang-up on ‘mother nature’ and focus on the topic of this thread? Skip number one and justify the other 9 points! Is Obama the guy that’s going to put American’s back to work?

You are offering a false choice and being intellectually dishonest. You know that’s not the solution proposed by the GOP.

What’s your plan; more of the same with Obama? I think I’ve pointed out how well that’s working.

It certainly doesn’t appear that Obama is even ready to FACE REALITY.
