Are ATS Points Kind of Like Schrute Bucks?

Are ATS Points sort-of like Schrute Bucks?



Or, can ATS Points be exchanged for things like t-shirts and novelty key chains and items of that nature?

Maybe we can make arrow heads out of those ATS points. I don't have a clue what ATS points, Stars, Flags, or all that stuff is. I try to give away my stars to people so I don't get a big pile of them and have my ego go supernova.

Before the website overhaul one could purchase certain website perks like words under your name, background colors etc etc.

Also access to the RATS forum.

Now all that is "free", the points seem to serve no purpose.

I've been trying to figure a way to freeze my stars at 2012 when I hit it but without intervention from a moderator or site personal I don't think I can do it. It'll probably take an act of congress to get it changed to 2013 next year so I'm not outdated. Maybe I can give them away to control the number. Or does it take one of your stars to give someone a star?

No, stars do not get taken away for any reason.

My understanding is that they're more like Stanley nickles, with an exchange ratio of unicorns to leprecauns.

ATS points , cannot be redeemed for goods , services or currency

I heard that when you reach 50,000 ATS points, a man in a black suit turns up at your house wearing latex gloves and does unspeakable things to your cat.

If you haven't a cat, get one very quickly or you will walking funny the next day.

I got a new laptop with some of my ATS points...

I just hold onto mine, was too cheap to "spend" them back on the old board and now we don't have to, so the pot grows (except for the occasional "get out of jail" fine) that is.

I have -7,276 ATS Points. What is this point of ATS?

At this point the bigger question for me is, "should I care?"

At the ridiculous rate that I have been penalized ATS points, no I don't care about ATS points at all.

Sometimes a post is removed and a person will be deducted 1000 points.

Other times a mod will issue an "applause" for a post and the person gets rewarded 500 points.

To me it seems like a punishment system more than reward system.

If I said how I really feel. I'd probably get deducted some more points.
