and often, their nose remains below the waterline as they breath.

well ... NO, they aren't ... there is an Rh- for EACH blood type.
that's makes 4 of them, each different from the other, so, how'd it get there ???

i have rh o neg blood.i know a lil about it.what i have concerns about this blood type is,it is known to fight good antibodies that help you recover from an illness.ive heard the blood type constantly attacks the body.is there truth to this?i know myself i am constantly sick but yet doctors cant seem to figure out why.i also have severe spine problems.could this be related to my blood type?

There maybe a reason as to why there's larger than statistical average of Rh neg poeple on this web site.

Perhaps Rh negative blood might predispose someone to the traits in that list, but I am Rh positive and many of those either directly or indirectly apply to myself and my family.

Both of my parents are O+, somehow I ended up with A+ blood. (My Mother never cheated on my Father, I inherited a lot of his Korean facial features and skin tone.) Most likely it was a recessive gene from both parents that gave me my blood.

A feeling of not belonging - I went through this as a teenager, but now I find that I prefer my solitude and I do not feel comfortable around large groups of people.

Truth seekers - I find it quite easy to tell when someone is lying, but I believe that has more to do with life experiences. Lying is the trait that I find most undesirable in people, I value honesty the most. Sometimes I will search for months to find all of the information that I am looking for, even then it is often still not enough to satisfy my interest.

Sense of a "Mission" in life - For some odd reason, I usually find myself in a leadership role without having a previous conscious desire to do so. I most enjoy life when I am helpful to others. I feel that I am destined to fill out a managerial role.

Empathy & Compassion for Mankind - Every day I wish we could all just get along.

Higher than average IQ - 131 professionally tested. 96 on the ASVAB (GT of 128, ST of 127)

ESP Ability - When blindfolded, I can "sense" objects around me without touching them.

Love of Space & Science - Loved it since very early on in my formative years and still do. History always bored me until my 30's when I began to realize it's importance and relevance in today's world.

Increased of psychic/intuitive abilities - My Mother who is O+ has a unique ability to sense potential threats around her, this has saved her life on a couple of occasions. My Wife who is O+ also may have this ability. During this year's Perseid meteor shower, we took the kids out into the city to go watch the show. We were parked along side a country road for about 10 minutes when my Wife got an extreme and panicky feeling that we better get moving, we left the area immediately. I am curious to know what would have happened if we had stayed, but I am glad that we left. Years ago my Wife visited some of the old Revolutionary War battlefields and she got an overwhelming wave of sadness, so much that it bought her to her knees in tears.

Lower body temperature - I usually run a degree below average.

Higher blood pressure (some say lower) - Depends on the shape I am in, healthy for me is around 120 over 70.

Predominantly blue, green, or Hazel eyes - My Mother's eyes are hazel. My Wife's eyes are green but sometimes turn bue. My Daughter's eyes are green. Mine are a rich medium brown (Has more to do with the fact that I am half-Korean)

Red or reddish tint to hair color - My beard is red and I have dark brown hair with natural red highlights. Part of my White heritage has Scots blood. My Daughter has red hair, by the way she is A+.

Increased sensitivity to heat & sunlight - I prefer Fall and Winter temps, living down here in the Southern US is not easy for me in the Summer. When most people are wearing Winter coats, I prefer to be in shorts and a t-shirt. Midday sunlight hurts my eyes, I prefer the late afternoon Sun all the way to dusk.

Unexplained Scares - I have had experiences in the past where I felt an almost paralyzing unease to turn around and look behind me. The most recent time that this happened was during a graveyard shift that I pulled while on TDY up at an ARMY base in Michigan.

Piercing Eyes - I prefer for people to meet my gaze when I am talking with them. I understand that some folks are shy, but it can be insulting when someone obviously isn't and they won't look at you when you talk with them.

Tend to be Healers - I was a Medic during my service in the ARMY.

Experience unexplained phenomenon - I've experienced a haunting before. All the typical stuff, hot and cold spots in the house, an old radio changing stations without anyone being in the room.

Physic Dreams and/or Ability - Perhaps not psychic, but I have had some extremely vivid dreams, one that I went lucid in for a brief moment.

Side effects to Meds - Chantix, the smoking cessation medicine, made me depressed. Hydrocodone, synthetic narcotic pain reliver, gives me the dry heaves. If a Doc tries to prescribe these to me I usually just ask for prescription strength Ibuprofen, my pain tolerance is high and it is enough for what I need.

I think you're dead right on the first one,it is a fascinating subject-as to wanting to feel special-yeah specially screwed when you need an emergency blood transfusion+your "special" blood is not available-so you could very well die:-)

I feel i have to point out,though,that i am B neg+so is my youngest daughter,my oldest daughter+my little son is O neg-My son and myself are very telepathic with each other,and i am an empath/sensitive and both me+my son has to an extent psychic or precognitive abilities,but here's the kicker-my hubby who is A Pos,is clairvoyant+kicks dust in our eyes as far as any psychic and clairvoyant abilities are concerned.

I don't personally think the Rh neg factor necessarily contributes to psychic or clairvoyant abilities,but that is me speaking from experience of my own family members,so its a small pool from which to draw observations,you know.

Rh negative factors are only important to a woman. An Rh negative man has no bearing on the situation. In otherwords, if you are a man who is rh negative, than you have nothing to worry about, regardless of your wife's blood type. rh positive women can carry rh negative babies with no problems.

It is rh negative women that have to worry. If the man is rh negative too, then no worries, because the will have rh negative blood, due to the trait's recessives. However, if the father is rh positive and the mother rh negative, that's when potential problems arise. Because the rh negative blood types are recessive genes, and positives being dominant, the blood type of the fetus remains a potential problem, as the fetus can be potentially either rh negative or positive. If the kid is rh positive, thats where the trouble lies. because the mother, being rh negative, once exposed to the rh positive blood, will produce a counter attack of antibodies, which will attack the kid's blood and make it very sick, even kill it. Because rh negative blood treats positive blood as a threat, an invasion, a hazard. It is an odd thing.

A few things about Rh negative blood types:

1. It is indeed extremely rare. The graphs showing its frequency only show the frequency of countries with predominantly CAUCASIAN populations. Rh negative blood is indeed found in 1 out of ever 6 caucasians. However, it is virtually nonexistant in Asians, Pacific Islanders, Aboriginals, American Natives, and other than one or two tiny isolated pockets in Africa, is virtually nonexistant there. When you factor in the world's total population, of which Caucasians are very much in the minority, its frequency drops down to about 1 in 20 people.
2. There is one group that is extremely unusual, in that nearly half their population is Rh negative, which is extremely odd. Those people are the Basques, who live in Spain or France. Due to the high frequency of this unusual factor amongst this population, anyone who researches the history and possible origins of the rh negative factor should look there, and not to aliens or Atlantis or what not.
3. O negative blood is actually the most common blood type of the rh negative types, it most certainly is not the rarest. Blood types, in order of rarity, go as follows (from rarest to most common):

AB-
B-
AB+
A-
0-
B+
A+
O+

As you can see, O negative ranks amongst the top four most common blood types. It is the universal donor, true. AB positive is the universal receiver.

I myself have looked into this issue quite a bit, as I am a female who has type B- blood, the second rarest type. Naturally, my concern had to do with the fact that statistically, I am more likely to end up with an RH+ mate than an rh- mate, and the likelyhood of problems is potentially high if I do not inform my doc so I can get a rhogam shot. I do not have any kids at this stage. My mother was B- like me, my dad was O-, so she did not have to worry, though since my blood type was unknown, she still got the shot.

Beyond that, I find all this rubbish about RH negative blood being "special" or "alien" to be just that: rubbish. All the characteristics supposedly associated with rh negative blood can pretty much be found on the list of characteristics for indigo children, crystal children, or any other New Age nonsense pseudo-mystical category.

Sure, I have a few of those traits described. I have a reddish tint to my hair, light green eyes, outsider, higher IQ, truth seeker. So do a large number of other people whose blood types are positive. And when it comes to psychic phenomenon or paranormal stuff, the majority of people who I have known who have those traits, plus compassion and the like, were highly unlikely to be rh negative, as they were of Native American, African, or Pacific islander descent.

The only thing unique about rh negative blood is that it can be a hassle if you ever need a transfusion, depending on type.

I often wonder what connection there is between RH- and the strange experiences in my life.

I'm O-neg.

Nothing special about me, but I do believe I have been visited by alien beings while asleep.

Does one have something to do with the other, I don't know.

I am a dark skinned Australian Aboiginal and my foster brother is very light skinned Australian with Scottish descent,
he too is O-neg, and has had strange experiences involving UFO's.

However he doesn't claim that the UFO was of ET origin, he just says it was flying and he could not identify it. It was the classic silent orb type and it came within 100 metres of his house.

A while ago I saw a website that had people actually share their experiences. Another one that didn't make this list was weird reactions to medicines. That stuck with me, as I have some odd reactions to medicines.

That's so interesting! I am A-, with reddish hair, blue eyes, lower body temp, and I'm in Mensa, so I have a high IQ. My grandmother was also Rh -, and she had paranormal experiences and also a UFO story (very unusual for a southern lady of her era.) I've always been "scared", particularly as a child, which I always chalked up to a vivid imagination. I've always been unusually interested in the paranormal (which also always scared me a little.) I definitely react more to medicines than the average person.

I do feel like I don't belong, but doesn't everybody, really?
