I personally think this stuff has reached the point it pretty much guarantees no intelligent person will want to be anywhere near this topic. It's really sad that the Internet and places like YouTube, that could have been really helpful, have instead resulted in a circus of the absurd.

What next - "Did a UFO Cause the Occupy Movement?" - "Are Progressives Really Evil Aliens Sent to Take Over the World and Eat Our Children?" (Well the second one might be true)

What's a UFO?
whether you feel uncomfortable with the title, it is technically correct and in line with the firefighters being stood down temporarily. The source of ignition has not been otherwise postulated by anyone, even if most of us think it should be obvious. It might surprise you that natural fire danger periods are more often earlier in the year when dead bracken from the previous year/s has built up.

Many of the so called UFO sightings and such are in fact Drones! UAVs collecting data and generally being a pain in the ass!

Get used to seeing more of these as they are not being controlled by the brightest of operators! Just more of our Tax money going down the drain!

How many people flipped a cig butt out that day, or some kids having a bon fire drinking beer,I could buy into a baby bigfooot more playing with matches than a downed UFO.
Arson to?

Sure it could of been a number of things.

Pretty sad on the horror and devistation!

Lets keep out hearts out to those who lost there homes and replant the forest.
Lets not play a blame game saying it was a UFO or goverment drone.

A lot of you hate the news/reporters ,yet buy into it when it serves your purpose?
I have noticed this here.

Time to slow down and think.

Crakeur could be coming from the point of view that a government involved incident is not one of an insurance claim, it has to be pursued, and proved through the courts, so I can see his reasoning for a cover-up by a possibly guilty government agency/military. Who pays for the courts, the guilty party of course, and in the case of governments, ultimately it is the taxpayer. On the road is the same procedure.

Hello, Blaine; BIG fan.
First, I have to say that for a long time, I have actually found myself looking forward to your input and insights on various threads...and find myself agreeing with you more often than not.
In this case, however, while humorous, I'm afraid I can't embrace the intended wisdom of your comment.

Here's my position on this (regardless of people's individual proclivities towards 'debunking' and/or their beliefs regarding the existence of alien spacecraft):

SOMETHING, unidentified and flying, during daylight hours (flaming with a white contrail; traveling downward; moving east to west), was witnessed over Kansas City by pilots.

SOMETHING, unidentified and flying, was observed by witnesses on the ground, entering Colorado airspace, exploding over Colorado Springs, breaking up...and observed (in the case of at least four seperate witnesses) actually impacting the ground at a distance. At least THREE individual witnesses described these flaming objects as 'metalic'; a couple felt this was an unidentified type of aircraft exploding and breaking up into flaming pieces.

SOMETHING, unidentified and flying, grounded all aircraft in the area around Colorado Springs for a period of 90 minutes.

SOMETHING, unidentified and flying, exploded, broke up and crashed in flames almost at the foot of Cheyenne Mountain (the HOME of NORAD and NAADC)...and yet NORAD spokespeople claim that they really have "no information" regarding what it was.

Personally, I find it suspicious (to say the least) that a flaming, smoking, "metalic", unidentified and flying object...(or series of objects)...is witnessed traveling through several states, seen breaking up, descending in flames and smoke during daylight hours...

...only to be witnessed crashing to the ground practically ON TOP of the most technologically-advanced facility in the world, zealously dedicated to observing & tracking objects entering earth's atmosphere which may pose a threat to those on the ground....

...NORAD spokesmen choose to go on record to reporters in the mainstream media, that they really have no information as to what it actually was; ONLY that it was NOT "man-made".

In this thread, I've dealt ONLY with the facts as they were listed in mainstream media reports, used statements by witnesses willing to go on record with what they've seen.

Speculation in this thread, along the lines of my original post, is absolutely NOT illogical or irrational...and I stand by my evidence; welcoming other's to contribute additional speculation and/or evidence (pro or con).

And many of the so called UFO sightings and such are in fact mystics! People in altered states of mystical consciousness and traveling out of their body and through time! Their 'souls' are perceived and interpreted by witnesses in terms of the dominant cultural mythology! In this case, the ET mythology.

I don't expect people to believe that, of course...

First off, Hello fellow MN-nite

Secondly, I could not agree more.

People need to stop rushing to conclusions because it feels right. Stop and critically analyze the situation. I dont see many people doing that in the real world, as it is the reason I dislike most people.

A downed UFO is very far fetch'd. A meteor is also far fetch'd. But at least the meteor can make sense.

Where-as I am an avid alien believer and believe them to visit here, I do not think this is the case here.

We have a government with many upon many different variations of aviation. Different styles, speeds, lengths, widths, etc. Who's to say that "UFO" in the now famous video of this fire, not one of the governments?
I know that video sprung this discussion.

Lets chill and analyze this. Yes, it has been EXTREMELY hot outside lately. Yes, that could play a huge part of it.

Also, if this was a ufo crash, was the California fires the same thing? :O

Kauskau, Evergreen is a town in the mountains west of Denver. I grew up there, used to be a tiny mountain town with one stoplight...not sure how big it is now, but I'm sure it has changed dramatically (I haven't been back in nearly 20 yrs). Hope that helps!

I wouldn't say crashed UFO, rather, an ET guided fire bomb.

Not just that, but I'd love to see more articles and evidence on this Colorado fireball from others.
I'll certainly keep looking, myself.

Whoa. For the past half hour, a very low flying B-52 has been circling our town here (northeast of Cincinnati).
Dayton air show isn't until next week. COOL.

I've just found this YouTube entitled:

UFO(s) Near NORAD in SW Colorado Springs, CO
www.youtube.com...

It says it was published 6/4/12.
The guy seems sincere...although 'LANGUAGE ALERT' for the kiddies!

Makes sense. Although, definitely NOT a good idea dropping flares in a tinderbox area; especially considering...

I came across this recent article from a Canadian newspaper:

HEADLINE:
UFO crash causes forest fire say Colorado witnesses -- Helicopter followed

Apparently, the researcher referenced in this article is convinced that, as a result of interviewing witnesses and firefighters, it was a UFO crash which was the cause of massive wildfire.

-Quote-
"UFO Sightings Daily reports UFO activity over Waldo Canyon, Colorado 28 June 2012 which reportedly resulted in a subsequent crash and massive forest fire. Firefighters also report that the fire apparently had unusual qualities that they had not previously seen."

"Sightings Daily is coordinated by Scott C. Waring, who is a UFO researcher and author who has become an honorary astronomer through his independent investigative research on anomalies in space and on planets like Mars. Mr. Waring had been affiliated with the United States Air Force at SAC base (USAF flight line). He currently owns an ESL School in Taiwan."

"Mr. Waring elaborates on a NORAD report."
"NORAD also confirmed something from space did fall over the area. If NORAD is involved then it may have been a UFO that crashed and that would explain the sighting of the UFO near the helicopter on TV news.”
Mr. Waring suggests that the UFO seen on the TV news, was a second UFO to look for survivors from the UFO crash.

“That UFO may have been sent to see if the crashed UFO had any survivors.”

-End Quote-

Most of you have probably already seen this newly posted (July 2?) infrared video showing a possible ufo on site of the wildfire. Forgive me if you have. I've only now just seen it...but thought I should share.

Since I live in the area, some perspective: Waldo canyon is one of the, if not the most hiked and explored area around Colorado Springs, CO. The fire started on Saturday, June 23rd, which meant literally hundreds of people were out hiking the area.

If a UFO crashed, someone would have seen it.

www.localhikes.com...

In addition, Rampart Range road which is above the canyon, on a Saturday afternoon during summer, also would have had hundreds of people on it, like these guys, who actually filmed the start of the fire.

Downed UFO? LMAO.
Some of the conclusions and leaps and bounds in dot connecting some of you true believers make has me questioning the future of the human race...

Sigh. Honestly guys? REALLY? Do any of you people do even BASIC research to actually find out the truth? That article says the fire started on the 28th of June.

"Sightings Daily reports UFO activity over Waldo Canyon, Colorado 28 June 2012 which reportedly resulted in a subsequent crash and massive forest fire."

Mr. Raymond Samuels of the oh so legitimate source of news, the Examiner (LMFAO
) can't even get the friggin date right when the fire started!
