What musi are you listening to right now? Please specify whether you are listening to the radio or not...

I'm listening to the radio right now and they're playing a song called Reckless Girl by a band whose name is The Beginners. Never heared about the band before. Dance-popish radio fill if you ask me. Now they introduce the next song: Rocks with Primal Scream, really cool song

Cool. I saw NIN live a couple of years ago. I was standing on a table all through the concert. Strange, but
version Johnny Cash has made of Hurt BTW. The Man in Black is by the way one of best country rock singers that has ever walked on under the sun.

Aenima means soul in Latin, doesn't it? Are you in to Perfect Circle?

I am listening now to "Running out of time of Pennywise",
i just love the song
I like the lyrics of the metal music, it has a nice meaning for what we live in...

This is actually the song :

Running Out Of Time

People all around us are covering up their eyes
Hard to find the answers believing all the lies
Wonder when we'll stop it when will all of this end
Got one last message to send
We're killing off the planet the end is drawing near
Brother fighting brother a world interned by fear
If we don't try and stop it we slowly start to die
Got this one last chance to try
If you want a future then you decide
It's crumbling all around you it happens here so many times
Must be some solutions to find a way
If we don't get some answers one day soon you can bet we're going to pay
There's got to be a way
So give us one good sign to decide whose side we're on
Cause we're running out of time
Millennium upon us and still we are denied
Fruits of public labor unevenly supplied
Prosperity is limited to just a precious few
Only one thing left to do
Ancients spent religions serve to separate the race
Into tribes that fight each other system must be replaced
Xenophobic zealots are preparing for war
What is it we're fighting for
Nation of hypocrisy discontent of lunacy
Afraid we'll never see the signs
Start the quest to find the truth
Take no more of this abuse or one day you will find you running out of time

-Hehe is just started the song called Fight till die

A struggle against the odds that's breaking out and must be won
They're getting ready with the weapons they have found
Take inspiration from the sound
See it in the faces of the people everyday
We need to take control and find some ammo right away
Our cause is righteous and we're gonna have our say
Get ready for the judgment day
Go ahead and try
Or kiss your ass goodbye
People of society are running for their lives
Get up now and go
Or your never gonna know
Never gonna make it in your houses lying low
Give it one good try
Give it all and fight till you die
A puppet government they're dying in the streets
Families are breaking up cause underpaids can't make ends meet
The establishment has put their money underground
Cause they all know what's coming down
A lucky precious few with money in their banks
Can't imagine what it's like to find yourself in homeless ranks
They've got no conscience for the ones who won't survive
The time for payback has arrived
All alone in your own society
Outside are the cries of lives in misery
An evil plot of a false democracy
Subjugating souls just dying to be free

Tired of radio. Putting the latest album of Foo Fighters, One by One, into the CD-player, track #4, "Times like this", it's karaoke time

"I...
I'm a one way motor way...
...It's times like these you learn to love again,
it's times like these, time and time again"

Pennywise

Ive got a lot like that, meaning lyrics, but the music
style is a lot different, Is more brutal, like death metal,
black metal hardcore metal, but they all want to say the same thing

Raven, do u need a list of groups like this one?

If you're into metal I can mention that there is a great metal festival in Kristiansand, Norway in eight days. I shall work as stage crew/drumtech. Much cool new metal here. Running order below:

Friday
Arcturus
Akercocke
The Crown
Impious
Witchcraft
Neongod

Saturday
The Haunted
Madder Mortem
Dimension F3h
Atrox
Opus Forgotten
Aspiration

I'm not really into metal. I'm more into rock'n'roll, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Uriah Heep are all great bands from the 60's and 70's. But my favorite music is a strange mix of many different genres, from classical, via jazz to hip-hop to electronica, rock, folk, metal... I love everything from Mozart and Beethoven via Grieg, Tschjaikowsky to Arvvo Pert
, I love the Beastie Boys, Nick Cave, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Police, and Raven, I've also listen much to Sting
, he was something like an idol to me during my school time. Probably the artist I've listend to most in my life... His best album is the Soul Cages I think, but the newest album is also great, esp. Desert Rose (I actually think it's a man who sings that Arabic chanting, not a woman
Sounds like an angel if you ask me), Mtorhead is my favorite metal band appart for perhaps early Sabbath and the finnish goth band NightWish, esp. the record Wishmaster and the title track is just beautiful, the latest album of Ozzy is also great, my favorite songs on that album must be Dreamer and Running out of Time, but it's impossible to put one song before the other, one must listen to the whole record. Guided by Voices, Sonic Youth, White Stripes, Queens of the Stoneage, the Hives, Strokes.... Well the list is neverending phew
Life wouldn't have been worth living without music! I don't nessasarily agree to the lyrics all the time, but as long as the music is good, I don't care so much about lyrics unless they're incredibly good, like Leonard Cohen or Bob Dylan etc.

Blessings,
Mikromarius

I'll go there once. That's one BIG festival. Have you ever been there? Perhaps I'll go across the border this June to Sweden Rock Festival (www.swedenrock.com...) before it's back to work at Quart Festival (www.quart.no) -- Is there only metal heads here or what?
. I think I called the program "running order" in the next to last post. Read from below and up it's a running order, but program is a better word I guess. Anyway, Discomfort will be two long and dark days of pure metal. I've never managed to take all the roaring stuff seriously, though, but there's many great musicans and many cool people, and of course free food and drinks+++ for us who works, and partying backstage with the bands when the fat lady sings. And of course much fun
