Is it too late to hunt down Hitler's Nazis?

I have been reading and watching a lot of Nazi related information recently and find the subject incredibly engrossing. The mind boggles at how anyone can be as sick and deluded, but yet so powerful and organised as the Nazis.

After many documentaries and internet pages had worn out my eyes one night I watched Tarantino's Inglorious Basterds (great film) for some pseudo-historical entertainment. After this, the thought occurred to me that there's a chance some of Hitler's Nazis could still be surviving (only just) or at least traceable through their families etc, and that they could surely be tracked down some how.

Of course I'm not proposing we go and pump them full of lead or cut off their heads as the Basterds do (not that I think it would be an inhumane demise for such beasts as the SS) but I was speaking with a friend about perhaps launching some kind of investigation into where the rest of the unaccounted Nazis went and I can't shake the idea.

I know many people such as Simon Wiesenthal did this and wondered if it was worth deploying some kind of new group to try and glean information on the whereabouts of Nazis that slipped through the fold.

I have some experience in investigating certain things (don't worry I'm not a cop lol) and wondered if it was worth the effort, or if all avenues have already been exhausted? The reason I ask here is that I know there are some great researchers and investigators on ATS and figured they'd be able to give me a better answer than the pages I see on the net that seem either unfairly cynical or overenthusiastic.

One would think that most of them are deceased.

The others would be quite old at this time, so there really wouldn't be much point in tracking them down unless you just want to talk to them about their experiences/ideals.

Most of them are either dead, or already found and brought before justice.

There's also a TV show about these guys (Nazi hunters on Discovery Channel i thought it was).

If you want to read/see more about this, look up information about the "rat line" (the escape route they used, mostly to South America)

Yeah from what I read most are dead but I thought I'd just ask to see if there were any keen Nazi hunters here who knew something I/we don't.

Thanks guys, kind of confirmed what I thought sadly.

I'll check out the rat line too thanks.

Now, replace Nazi with USA. Think, how these Americans get so blatantly attacking other countries.
You will get same stuff, just in few years more, somebody will ask the same question as you, except this time, its USA.

Why would you wish to "hunt them down" when there are new idiots born every minute just waiting for a leader with sufficient charisma to lead them down a similar road? We have lots more people now and infinitely less common sense circulating in the population at large, so statistically the army is ready to go.

Why worry about past crimes when we've got more than enough going on now? Turn off the tv and look around you.

Why worry about the past when we're in the present? Ridiculous.

Who would you go after? I mean the Nazis were in the past so why bother...

In my personal opinion, it's never too late to go after those devils.

NEVER too late.

I know what you mean but I meant purely in a practical sense of finding them.

If theres any left they're probably in Argentina (which probably explains some of their anti British feelings as they'd hate us for taking down their reich) and given the amount of gold they looted from Europe i'm sure any Nazi would be able to live very well and have enough money to bribe their way out of answering awkward questions

The youngest should be about 77 years old.

Folks are living well into their 90's these days.

Just saying.

If I had the means .......

And if I found one, I would still like to see justice. Even if it's for a few last years.

Why don't we go a day without hearing about hitler and the nazis?

Jews run the media that's why.

Why aren't people going after stalins henchmen?

Why don't we have movies about the Ukrainian holocaust?

Or the rape of Nanking?

Nope, holocaust, hitler every day shoved down our throats

Yeah i know, most are dead, but there were one helluvalot of those sicko's that ran tail between their leg across the Atlantic so there should still be quite a few.

Bariloche is an Argentinian town that's pretty much a "Germany away from Germany"

This is where a whole lot of them went after using the ratline, living quite normal lives actually.

Sounds more live vengeance than justice. Why waste the money tracking down SENIOR senior citizens, then more on trying them and even more in jailing them. CE has a valid point imo. Use that money against today's criminals and gangs. It would do much more for society.

So you advocate gathering a posse and finding those decrepit old men and "bringing them to justice", is that right? WTF are you on about? They are old, old, old men. They have progeny. Whatever they did wasn't "punished" in their functional lifetime, but you think taking some 90-year-old to world court at this stage is going to.... do what? Discourage the next round of retards from doing the same? You mean people like Breivik? "Hate people who aren't like me. Hate people who aren't racially what I want them to be." So what does our new, improved generation do? We build him a nice wing on the looney bin and hire him some friends.

LEARN THE LESSONS OF THE PAST AND UTILIZE THEM IN THE PRESENT AND MAYBE THE FUTURE WON'T BE FILLED WITH RETARDS.

See how that works? Or do you think hunting old farts is still the best idea?

The most talented ones went to work for the US government. How do you think they got to the moon. You think Von Braun was a yank?

To 'hunt' down all those Nazis you would have to dismantle the DOD, CIA, FBI, and Nasa to name a few.

Yes when the americans funded the nazis they got a return on their investment by bringing all these scientists and Nazis to the states. Operation Paperclip is one of them.

The Allies help Hitler escape. They didnt want the Russians who legitimately wanted him dead to find him so they faked his death. The Russians questioned the body double claimed to Hitler. Rumours claim that hitler and many other high level Nazis ended up in South America where they died at a comfortable, peaceful old age. Like the doctor of death who died swimming at a beautiful beach

The unit hurried west to avoid being captured by the Soviets and were taken as prisoners of war by the Americans. Mengele, initially registered under his own name, was released in June 1945 with papers giving his name as "Fritz Hollmann". From July 1945 until May 1949, he worked as a farmhand in a small village near Rosenheim, Bavaria, staying in contact with his wife and his old friend Hans Sedlmeier, who arranged Mengele's escape to Argentina via Innsbruck, Sterzing, Meran, and Genoa. Mengele may have been assisted by the ODESSA network.[27]
Mengele's health had been deteriorating for years, and he died on February 7, 1979, in Bertioga, Brazil, where he accidentally drowned, or possibly suffered a stroke, while swimming in the Atlantic. He was buried in Embu das Artes under the name "Wolfgang Gerhard", whose ID card he had used since 1976.

Some of the things World war 2 was used for
- Kill over 50 million Russian and Chinese.
- Nuke Japanese civilians, show dominance to the world, use japan to manufacture
everything.
-Take over Europe using a dictator the U.S funded
-Appear to topple dictator, replace nazi flag with U.N flag
- Put every country in Europe in debt to the world bankers. (owned)
- Kill many polish and ukraine people, call them jews, displace them then take over
Palestine then create a country called Israel..

Not only money and Gold, but also technology. After all, The only reason USA were able to go to the Moon in the 60's were because of Nazi-technology: en.wikipedia.org...

As for Argentina, the following is quite funny: www.telegraph.co.uk...
