I really think everyone who frequents the 2012 forum should read that book. Stuart's writing style is so accessible while at the same time providing a lot of good information. I think if people read actual research regarding the Maya and 2012, as opposed to the likes of Jenkins, Arguelles, and Calleman, they would quickly see that all these 2012 claims are pure nonsense.

Using that logic I could say that I'm just as good a surgeon as someone who has gone through med school. I mean they've only had years focused on a specific area of study that I haven't had. What's the difference between us? With that said I think it's about time you had a heart transplant. You trust me right? I mean I'm no different than a specialized surgeon apparently.

Well thats usually what this 'end date' of the Mayan Clander eventually leads too.
Sorry, but you are incorrect. Maybe based on what you've read, but that is not the meaning.
The Mayans never said anything about the end of the world. It was, and always has been, about CHANGE.
Their beliefs stem from cycles that occur in relation to astronomical events, and the changes that they bring when they occur. Those astronomical events happen in predictable cycles over many hundreds and thousands of years.
I would say that we're seeing some real changes in the world as we speak, wouldn't you?

I never said the Mayans did but its the 2012 believers are saying the world is going to end without a shred of evidence to support their claims.
Things are changing but history repeats itself.
