If this is going to be on some mandatory insurance for everyone, the way they did auto insurance, how's this going to effect the folks off the grid living off the land?

I plan on going off the grid off and on over the next few years til i can acclimate to the lifestyle, then eventually life that way full time. Well i dont plan on working, which means i won't be paying into the system. So what are they going to do tptb? Track me down and force insurance on me?

It is simple, you will be taxed for all of the services you don't wish to use.

Off the grid tax, coming soon to a dictocrasy near you.

Or they will send compliance enforcers to shoot you in the head so that your anti-consumerist genes won't be passed on.

Just like people drive with out auto ins so will people simply avoid this.

Honestly, the laws only apply to you as far as the government has the abillity to enforce.

and as with MANY laws, if your smart, its hard for the gov to enforce.

There are many laws I violate on a daily basis, I California roll through empty stop signs, I avoid cross walks and walk where I please, I got 150 mbit internet... need I say more...

Laws only exist as long as we let them, if people get angry enough with the system, or disenfranchised enough people tend to start disobeying them.

Civil disobedience.

Yep, if you ..."own" land, you are in their system.
When you refuse their koolaid, they will tax ....err penalize you.
They will then take your land and you will be dependant on the system.
Quite ingenious if you ask me.
Freedom? where?
I got a feeling some folks are oiling their rifles as we speak.

Kennedy said, those who make.... aww screw it, nobody cares.
Many good people will die and none of the ones who deserved it will, divide and conquer...

I know a guy in NC who has over 100 acres passed to him from deceased parents, andthe taxes were so high so he made himself a nonprofit religious organization and transfered the land ownership to the org, and now enjoys his tax free land.

The IRS will be enforcing it, even Capone couldn't hide from the tax man.
Good luck not paying on the monthly fine.

It's not going to have much effect if they can't find you.

Frankly, there's nothing they can do to make you pay. Yeah, your credit score will tank... but it's not like you need credit if you are living off the land.

Not much to worry about in this case, debt means nothing to someone who is free.

I wonder if that's how the civilian defense force is established, possibly under a second obama term?
or if Romney wins he just opts for a foreign war and when things get heated, enables the defense force anyways.

because it would give a lot of people a source of income while being patriotic to their country etc..
people will be calling on the government to create some sort of jobs program.

/slightlyofftopic.

C'mon man.

Even the guy on the show Mountain Men is pissed because he has to pay the taxes on his land. He is litterally about to lose his land because he thought he didn't have to pay "the man".

That was just an example.

Off the grid,,,,,,,,,kind of.
