Just another day here in AZ. It is always hot! Though this year it got hotter earlier and breaking records. Its been 115 this week, with humidity of monsoon season. Once it hits 100 here though, hot is hot.
I hibernate these months!! Stay cool everyone!

I have noticed that once the monsoon hits, we do not get a cool down at night. It stays 90 or better all night long then up to 112-115 for the daytime. I want to live in Colorado for the summers and come back to Arizona for the winters.

Only 88 degrees here in central Texas now.

Don't worry about the heat, though. It won't last. A few years from now you'll probably look back fondly on this brief moment in time where we were at the peak of earth's 110,000-year climate cycle. Global warming is going to fix itself suddenly, dramatically, and (to most people) unexpectedly any year now. It won't get much warmer than it is now before it crashes right into an ice age and everywhere more than 40 degrees away from the equator is covered in ice sheets and glaciers. They've known it's coming since at least the 1970's; those of us old enough can still remember all the "global cooling" warnings being spouted back then, but suddenly it changed to "global warming" instead. We should be pouring all the CO2 and methane we can into the atmosphere, we should be flooding it to create an earth-sized blanket in preparation for the next hundred thousand years of ice's icy rule, but what are they doing? Making it worse, on purpose, for the sake of money and power, using our fear against us, teaching lies as truth, it... really annoys me. And since any story's better with pictures...

Exhibit A

Exhibit B

Exhibit C

See it yet? It takes over 100,000 years for the climate's heart to beat, and we're right at the peak of that beat. Any year now... it's comin' right for us... move to the tropics...

At night, it does at least get a little cooler and breezy, so not too too bad. I only like it when the weather is just right, not too hot and not too cold.
Least the rainy weather makes it neutral.

Our local weather man said that this is the first time he was ever excited to say we had a 10% chance of rain in the forecast. I don't know about where you are but, we are 13 inches lower in rain on our yearly average. They haven't started a water ban yet, but it is probably going to happen soon.

Get used to it. With 7 billion people heating up the planet it's likely to be the new normal.

That is simply not the case and a total exaggeration.

This is a result of the sun's activity, nothing else. Has NOTHING to do with "man made global warming."

Stop propagating a falsehood.

I hope he does not go that route!
I'm also on an extensive horse forum, I bet there is someone there who can haul them out for him if they will load. I'll try to find the thread you mention.

Re; the temps- Sadly, the hot weather is pretty normal here (Tx) 115 has been hit before, it's brutal. I'm praying it doesn't get to 110+ and stay for weeks, that will murder us. (right now it's only 90*, unusual for us - not complaining! )

.. Maybe that explains why I've been squirrelling away way more winter clothes than I'll ever be able to wear and 5 years of firewood even though I'm in Tx.
or, I'm just mental...

Get some new coolant, purchase a larger unit, else don't let it run too long...it'll freeze over.

There's no reason you can't adequately cool a space with the correct equipment.

It's been over 100 here all week. It happens...this is Texas. I remember 1998 when we hit a record some 60+ days over 100 degrees in a row!!

my sympathies,

are there many cirrus clouds in your area
or "persistent contrails" [shhh, don't say it!] that turn into cirrus clouds?
those trap heat

here in sunny PR, since hurricane season started, its been a blistering, prickly, electrically charged heat
due to the prevailing winds from africa filling the air with dust from the Sahara

and i've ALWAYS been a cold climate person, new york winters are just chilly to me : "brisk, good for the circulation"
as the english say.

but today we have gloriously dark cumulus clouds, rumbling thunder,...

and it smells like it's gonna rain!!!!! YAY!!!

How is this out of the ordinary?

Hot weather happens all the time, every year. It is nothing spectacular.

108 yesterday in Ft. Wayne, Indiana - and yes that is a record
breaker. Today 97 and severe storms coming in - we do need
the rain as we are in a severe drought like so many others.

Not these record breaking temperatures. And its been like that since spring in many areas, summer temps all spring.

In our area, its been so cold unlike any year here for decades.

As you can see, the average high for June is 87F. Today is going to reach 108F which is actually 6 higher than the hottest day on record for June. So even if it isn't "out of the ordinary" for some, it certainly is still uncomfortable for others.

So, people are done denying AGW?

No "record-breaking" temperatures where I am unless you count a few days of 90+ degree weather.

Yes indeed!!

I'm in Memphis TN and we will see 106+ this weekend, not including the heat index. We even had a report about some of news stations lying about the temps as to not alarm the residents....

at 1st, they said 99, 100, then 102, then 104, now 106.

2 summers ago, we saw temp with heat index to reach 115-120.....this is the summer when the streets in New Orleans buckled up and the weathermen here in Memphis were cooking various foods on the sidewalk to demonstrate the heat.

Are you implying we have choices on which planet we reside ....silly you....

How about you find another thread to troll.....just a kind suggestion.

On topic...it was already 90 degrees here at 11:00 this morning. I'm on top of a mountain in N. Ga. Have turned on a sprinkler for my goats in their pen. Thank Goddess I have a good deep well.
