Hey, captain straw man, one doesnt have to be an "Obama Supporter" to point out "ObamaCare" is based on RomneyCare. Heck, even many in the GOP admit this.

I forgot the democrats can't write any laws on their own they have to take "republican" ideas.

Well, thanks for admitting the GOP created "ObamaCare". Your handlers will be most displeased.

Romney is not GOP btw RINO as most people know.

The entire GOP are 'rino' by that standard. You cant hide behind that thinning facade any longer.

And where does the funding for the medicare expansion come from? Additional federal funds? And where does that come from? The tax payers. So yes, the people get screwed, just not the group you are advocating for.

I wonder what Ron Paul thinks about this ruling...I sure would appreciate his opinion.

He is a strict constitutionalist...and a Doctor...seems like the right guy for this situation...

I don't know why people think this is a huge victory for Obama

It's a victory for Obama because the Right has been claiming this is Unconstitutional for the past 2 years and that Obama has trashed the Constitution by passing it.

Today, all those people were proved wrong.

I agree that the Economy will have a main role in the election...but this is without a doubt that huge victory for Obama because it validates the bill he fought so hard to pass.

No more can any right wing talk show claim how this bill is Unconstitutional...that alone is a huge victory.

Amen to that, I see them ready to hand out everything to the illegals who don't wish to assimilate to our way of life but think we have to learn to speak lingo, so we can have jobs. Those of us who don't, well that's one reason theres so much unemployment.

Side note: Over 16,000 new IRS agents are going to be implemented in this, I bet they know whose here illegally and who isn't.

I agree with you my friend, but unfortunately they're going to make sure our taxes, go to benefit anything but us.

Yes, I know, Now the large insurance corps, will reap the benefits of this healthcare bill.

I would think the conservatives would be ecstatic with this ruling with their propensity to bow down to large corporations.

Business as usual I'm afraid. The conservative hyperbole is so lame and agenda driven without any regard to the citizens at all.

Health insurance is a tax?

No, the penalty is administered as a tax.

It always was...which is why the IRS was in charge of it.

So this means the government, which spends trillions of dollars of your money on BS, an entity that cant even figure out how to make the damn post office profitable, is going to start messing around with the already screwed health care industry... This is not going to end well.

You might as well save your tax money and burn it in the fire during the winter....THAT would be a better use of it.

There is a reason government spending is wasteful, and it isnt because government is itself flawed. IT's because the US government is over-run by corporate interests and lobbyists.

Actually, there all just idiots.

So, you are saying the high unemployment rate in the US is because employers will only hire spanish speakers?

Anyone want to explain something to me, albeit I am being a bit facetious?

How am I suppose to get free healthcare if I have to pay a tax?
And what is the lowest income limit exempt from the tax?

Oh, and how is this different than the already free healthcare system we have for poor people (welfare)?
Don't people already pay tax to cover that?

Call me flabbergasted.

I think some of you guys are missing the point. This is a HUGE human rights victory. Giving everyone right to health care is far more important than any petty squabbles we have with the current or past administrations.

You don't get it.
One, it is not a right to Health Insurance.
Two, even the poor will be forced to BUY Health Insurance.
Three, even if the poor can't afford to buy, they will be taxed.

I am SO tired of hearing this tired old Progressive BS that it is a right. No, no it is not.

I understand what you are saying but we HAVE to pay for it. Thats how it works. We need to pay taxes. At least this is going towards something like health care for everyone.

You said you understand but I don't think you do. OUR taxes will not be paying for everyone to have health care.

The so called tax is only a penalty in disguise if you do not buy your mandatory insurance with YOUR OWN money. You see each individual is forced to buy insurance, it is not going to be paid for with taxes.

Cantor: House will vote on repeal on July 11

A shameful waste of time and government resources.

Everyone knows it has zero chance to pass...with all the other issues we have...they decide to play politics instead of solve some of our problems.

All hell is going to break loose from the Catholics. They will not comply to a law that forces them to provide birth control, sterilization, morning after pills and very likely abortions.

Obama already took care of the birth control part of it.

And abortions are not required to be covered under the health care bill.

Yeah the IRS who the current administration armed so the IRS is in charge of "healthcare".

So much for liberalism in America where is the freedom?

Obamacare is the antithesis of liberalism

No, it only proved that 5 out of the 9, in which two of them were appointed by Obama, seemed to think so, or were threatened.

Yes, it is a tax. Thank you for finally admitting it. That is the ONLY way they could have passed it.
