Where does all the hate for WASP Politics and Culture come from?

I read a lot of threads here, and I've noticed overwhelming hate for the traditional White Anglo-Saxon culture, and politics of the United States. I find this very bizarre considering the fact that we enjoy the standard of living, and free system we do BECAUSE of that very culture and group of people.

People leave their homelands and immigrate to the United States by the millions, and we want to shun our history, call our ancestors that built this country and their ways wrong, and imitate the way of countries that people are abandoning?

Our country was designed, and built on and by these WASP people, their principles, and culture.


This doesn't make much sense to me.

Oh yeah, I forgot another important aspect of that hatred... it's called selective memory. "olaru12's" post demonstrates that aspect pretty well. Slavery was alive and well in the Middle East and Africa for over a thousand years. It wasn't officially "abolished" until 1962. I put "abolished" in quotes because unofficially it's still fairly active in that area. I wonder how many current countries "olaru12" can name that aren't guilty of genocide in one form or another.

I understand your question and agree to a certain extent; however, the government you speak of died almost as soon as it was started. The government we have today pulls the wool over our eyes constantly.. and even gets caught red handed at times. The same people who are enjoying the so called "freedoms" are the same people too lazy to get up and fight against a corrupt government such as the U.S.

The Conquistadores were not WASPs by any stretch of the definition and I am sure you are not suggesting that WASPs were solely culpable in establishing the institution of slavery in the new world?

The Quakers and most Abolitionists were WASPs, Abraham Lincoln was a WASP.

I can think of many equal if not greater atrocities committed by a much wider variety of ethnicities and religious beliefs, why no similar hate for them?

Oh come on.. slavery ended over 150 years ago.. can we move on please? And if your going to pull that card, you might want to make it clear that slavery started with tribes selling other captured tribes to different countries (i.e. Spain and England)

Every place on this Earth has been taken over again and again.. taking this land away from the native Americans was bad, but it happened because that's life. Should we feel sorry for the Roman Empire? That got taken over too.. that point is such crap.

This post makes no sense, we enjoy the fourth highest standard of living (would be number one in the world if not for being skewed by our unparalleled economic freedom).

The three countries with higher standards of living are also countries born out of similar ideals.

Yes, I absolutely agree with you there! I see this new government (past 60 years or so?) as being allied with the same people that are constantly putting down the very ideals and people that made this country what it is.

Even I don't hate WASPs. I just think it's exercising selective memory [that I was accused of] to not recognize and take responsibility for past sins against other cultures and peoples. Personally I don't think the German people will ever live down the Holocaust.... Now there's a WASP culture that enjoys a very high standard of living.

I don't hate period. Didn't you read my post? However I'm not fond of neo Nazi skinheads, or unthinking nationalists, racists of any color or creed, KKK types, or those that refuse to deny ignorance by embracing a foolish agenda.

The W and P parts scare me, because while they mean White and Protestant to you, they look like white power to me.

Not to mention separation of church and state. I prefer your religion out of my laws.

The same question applies to people that flee their homeland, for the United States and than want to institute the culture and lies they fled here in the US.

Um....why is anyone still talking about WASPs? They no longer run the show in America. I mean for the most part America has been taken over by european mutts, its been that way every since the WASPs realized they were outnumbered back in like the 1920s.
