Could people be spotting stealth craft and drones and thinking that they are UFOs? I have had stealth craft fly over that were extremely quiet and when they fly low especially at night they look very spooky and UFO like. Also seen drones flying around lately that look like something out of a sci-fi novel. We live in interesting times...

i don't think it looks fake but it doesn't look like a UFO either. just because some people thought it was hovering for a bit doesn't rule it out as a plane. planes can look like they are hovering if they are moving slow and at a certain angle.

I admit that I failed to see any blurrying done with the Hand And Finger icon (I use that tool a lot when I want to make out of place objects blend with the background), there are no surroundings of blurriness around the object. Though the previous page showed some info about software being used.

I think it's a Laser Kite or entirely done by software, I just couldn't find the traced is my problem.

Not much of an expert with photoshop but rather with its free equivalent. This can be easily faked, considering it's small and can be made to blend in with the background.

Basically my thoughts. To easy to fake. This one needs a fair amount of eyewitnesses to be at least interesting.

My girlfriend and I live in Langhorne, PA . Approximately on July 19, 2012 in the early evening, my girlfriends 19 yr old daughter came to tell her mother and I, that a friend of hers had just posted this creepy cell phone picture to facebook. She said the friend is at her job in Newtown, PA, (which is about five minutes away from us), went on break, stepped outside and took it of the sky.

My girlfriends daughter grabbed her laptop and showed it to us. My girlfriend and I thought it was a really cool summer storm picture. I asked her if she could download it and send it to my email. That night I downloaded the pic to my phone and laptop as well.

i41.photobucket.com...

How could several areas of lightening be so close to one another, yet not light up the clouds in between? I have showed it to many people and everyone always has a similar reaction, I've even been accused of photoshopping it. I've heard of ball lightening here on ATS, but have never seen it myself.
I want to post it here to see what others might think of it, besides accusing me of photoshopping it too
All I can think of when I look at it now, is a triangle ufo.

The triangle shape looks awfully clean compared with everything else in the photo (sky, bldgs, light posts everything!!! . . . very noisy). Add to that the triangle is supposed to be distant yet is sharper than the objects that are closer.

I think it's photoshopped and not a very good job of it either.

Can someone decipher the exif data with more clarity to make it easier for novices to understand. Most people on this thread appear to be novices.

Of course everyone with a computer pretends they are an expert but they have never recieved any training.

Please explain this Exif data on this photograph more please.

I honestly don't understand this attitude. There is plenty of information available about how to do this yourself. You CAN learn this on your own. relying on others "expertise" can get you further away from what you are looking for.exifdata.com...

I'm not sure that you need a traing course on how to read a text file but I am sure you can find one if you are willing to pay.

Yes, there's little usable information with this photo:

- EXIF data:

- JPEGSnoop assessment:

So, the only thing that we can say for sure is that the photo was modified, under Apple Framework.... for what it worth.

looks pretty clear to me. Can you explain the word "processed/edited" in laymans terms?
