Welcome aboard, and.....oh wait, des just used my line....Enjoy the ride!
You'll find lots of interesting information here. May I recommend the "Ancient and Lost civilizations" forum for you? There is a member named
Slayer69 who is somewhat of the history buff here, if you find him, he has a whole series of fascinating articles linked in his signature space.
I'm a bit of an amateur when it comes to history, but I do love it as well. All of it. From the earliest bits of art daubed on cave walls to the 20th
century, it's interesting and relevant to what makes a human being tick.
Hope you enjoy the wild ride here.
btw... have you read The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire yet? I've gone through my tattered copy 3 times now. Fascinating stuff.
Welcome to ATS. I am also a history buff and, while I love all history, I am particularly drawn to the renaissance and Elizabethan/Tudor period.
What is the time period that fascinates you the most?
I am looking forward to seeing you around the boards.
Take care,
Cindi
