Five Good Reasons To Believe in UFOs:(or what is going on @ National Geo?)

Interesting post, and I for one look forward to the series- hopefully there is some new material, and Im just glad the subject is getting the coverage it deserves.

I can confirm what Denver22 is saying about the skies in the Porstmouth area of the UK- centre of the British Navy and many many shady bases owned by the Military-Industrial complex producing all manner of flying/swimming/crawling and exploding black projects dotted all over the area. Know people who work at them- even had (ex-Navy) family working for one of them.

Some very famous UFO sightings in the area, and Im sure some of them are down to 'our' tech, back engineered or otherwise- however, I do not believe that all sightings can be put down to this- some are just way too bizarre even though I am convinced we have tech way beyond what is commonly thought to exist. I too have had my own sightings....

One last point- something that really annoys me- when someone wants to be incredibly dismissive and patronizing about the UFO phenomenon, the often revert to the saying "little green men". I have never once heard of a claimed sighting of little green men from anyone, ever. Its just a way of trying to make the subject seem silly, but these days, just out's the person saying it as knowing little or nothing about the subject. It might have been funny when it was new in the 1950's- now its just pathetic. 'Just sayin'.

I think the show is going to be awesome.

Unfortunately I don't think they at Nat Geo. have an secret information. If they did why wouldn't they just share the info. if they want who's stopping. them?

I love Nat. Geo. / History / The Science Channel / Discovery etc. but of course they are all in business to make money. So I think they are just cashing in on the 2012 hype. (who can blame them?)

I just hope it's better than Ancient Aliens.

There is no aliens i am afraid don't worry it pissed me off too as i kinda grew up as a child believing in
such things however there is earthly sprites that we know alot about and some we do not

Willow the wisps - jack o lanterns we call some too.
I was chased by one and it split into six fragments of energy it is too complicated
to go into the findings.

We know that fairies as such were these balls of light
explained back then as hocus pocus magick and lack of understanding of the
phenomena..

There is no alien tech is all i can confirm..
Do not underestimate mans ability to create such things ..

I never really recovered i too like to think there is but i know that so far we have
not seen any.Just natural phenomena foo fighters are clever litle things.

One ufo i seen,at first glance looked like any other satellite,a sort of star that seemed too move,most would assume this is a ufo,but this was no satellite,because after a while it joined with a group of others just like it and started zooming around space like fly's chasing each other round a lightbulb only faster,much faster.

Ive got to disagree with you here, Denver. People way over our pay grades and clearances beg to differ. Take Gordon Cooper for instance- ex-Mecury program astronaut- had his own personal sighting whilst flying a jet fighter over Germany, then in '57

" when Cooper was 30 and a captain, he was assigned to Fighter Section of the Experimental Flight Test Engineering Division at Edwards Air Force Base in California. He acted as a test pilot and project manager. On May 3 of that year, he had a crew setting up an Askania-cinetheodolite precision landing system on a dry lake bed. This cinetheodolite system would take pictures at one frame per second as an aircraft landed. The crew consisted of James Bittick and Jack Gettys who began work at the site just before 0800, using both still and motion picture cameras. According to his accounts, later that morning they returned to report to Cooper that they saw a "strange-looking saucer" like aircraft that did not make a sound either on landing or take off."

"According to his accounts, Cooper realized that these men, who on a regular basis have seen experimental aircraft flying and landing around them as part of their job of filming those aircraft, were clearly worked up and unnerved. They explained how the saucer hovered over them, landed 50 yards away from them using three extended landing gears and then took off as they approached for a closer look." Do you not agree that, someone of Coopers credentials would have been told, at the very least, "Dont worry about this Gordon- nothing to get worked up about" or more obviously "Its one of ours, Gordon"

Or how about this quote from President Truman- yes- the one that authorized the dropping of the A-Bomb on Japan, who said on April 4, 1950, "I can assure you that flying saucers, given that they exist, are not constructed by any power on Earth."

The list goes on and on (and on)- from presidents to pilots to police- yes to hugely advanced human tech- no to "its all ours"

Let me add that during the war when the war was over some americans landed
in knowheres ville and the natives worshipped the plane as a god and its passengers

Yeah seen that about the islanders making icons of B29's thinking they were 'sky gods', but we arent Papua New Guinean natives, and we know what military drones look like.

And yeah- relatives ex-HMS Dolphin- you dont have to quote Portsmouth Naval history to me (proud of it too).

If you knew that a stealth fighter is man made
and say in 1930s you saw one you would know as we know now however
people would not know and claim that it were a UFO aliens lol.

Our UFO Roswell festival is starting tomorrow, we are all excited as it's quite a bit of fun.

National Geo came to Roswell a few months back and made this short video of the town, etc. As you can see by these *so called reporters,* they are both immature and uneducated about *the Roswell Incident.* The new show by Nat Geo shouldn't be taking place because one of the most important things the Space Souls have told us is "DON'T COME LOOKING FOR US."

To be honest, I don't know why there's so much talk or hoopla about UFOs, etc. It seems the people who have never seen them, seem to be the ones to think they know most about them. Has no one ever read Dolores Cannon's books? Everything you ever need to know about this subject and how the Universe was formed is in her books, she's quite thorough in her investigations.

I tend to agree, although I will give this new program a chance because Nat Geo does have pretty good resources which would give them a better chance than most of us to really investigate sightings. I guess I will have to wait and see.

You see a child has to learn something it does not understand therefore

to say that there are no aliens is ridiculus, there is an estimated 10 billion planets in our galaxy, so the chances of earth being the only planet that can support earth is around 10 billion to 1 and thats just in our galaxy.

now to say that alien life is visiting earth is another thing altogether, and i am still skeptical on this matter.
my post was just asking the question that IF aliens were to vist our planet, then how would they go about comunicating?

even Hawkings beleives in alien life. are you saying that you know better than the most scientific mind of our time?
