In a hypothetical air war does anybody out there know which one would win?

Certainly Indian AF. At least they've got Su-27 which is somewhat new while Iranians use only junk (sorry waynos I still use this word)

Probably India.
I read a report earlier in the year where a joint USAF / IAF exercise was held. The Indians were flying their new SU-30's against F-15's and the USAF commander admitted that the SU-30's gave them a BIG surprise, enabling the IAF pilots to get the first shot.

I do love that aircraft, very purposeful looking

Yup, I concurr i dont think that the Iranians have Su-27's and their Mig-29's and F-14's are poorly maintained, their main plane is the F-4! Besides if India fought Iran I think we would help because we dont like IRan that much, with their WMD programs and financing parts of the insurgency in Iraq.
