I did a search and was surprised that I did not find much on gathering links for free survival books to download. If I missed it, please remove this thread.

I have been downloading quite a few survival books and putting them on various mediums, such as, my Blackberry Playbook, my phone, a flash drive, an internal hard drive with an external hard drive case so I can hook it up via USB.

I did find this thread on here to download military manuals. Here is the link. Thanks to Gatorboi117 for posting this.

Now, without further ado:

Nuclear war survival skills

Bushcraft

These last two are my favorites with A LOT of books to choose from:

HI, great .. I have10 or so of the foxfire books. If we loose elec and modern power we will have to rely on mechanical power until we retool.

knowledge is power in any world and culture

I agree 100% and in that case, these books will be a life saver. I wanted to put my book on things that do not take much power to charge so that in case of SHTF, a homemade hand crank generator can recharge the batteries easily.

Shenanigans!!! I tried to find a different link, but it looks like all the copies available for free have been removed. I will remove that link.

I can assure you... you do not want to run into my mother's arms. She'll just tell you to suck it up and walk it off.

You all are very welcome. I love reading these books. I downloaded 1881 Household Cyclopedia and it has so much information on how things were done "in the old day". lol

It great to be able to see that wee can still have most of the amenities we have today with a little hard work and ingenuity.

Thanks all!

It's 2012, the economy looks ready to collapse, there is no need to panic, but there certainly is no harm in having a plan and some supplies.

This is an excellent site with downloadable info by alphabetized category:

I would hope this "minor tip" is all to obvious to state.

But, if you are intending to save this information for use post "SHTF", get a good printer a supply of paper.

I know a guy who is real proud of the survivalist links he has on his computers favorites list.

I know he will be able to access them all when he really needs them.
