It is true that Humans have been self annihilating as of late and now they have the weapons to do it....... but its admirable how they did not have it done so far...... You are right they aliens are ever intelligent.....

lets consider this analogy...... We are way more intelligent than the virus...... yes.......?? Then why can't we annihilate the virus once and for all........ because for all intense and purposes we are way way more intelligent than virus....... is it not......??

Aliens Fear us....... Because they have seen something in our evolution....... You see the thing with human Technological advancements is that it is not time Bound...... that is Humans civilization does not progresses technologically with time........ but Humans race's Technological advancements depends on size of the civilization and population........

If you look back at our history you will find that man has made tremendous technological progress when the social empire was huge....... for example......Humans developed steam engine during greeks rule which apparently was the one of the biggest empire at that time...... Similarlyhumans developed Mechanical Computer during the middle ages ie the time of dark ages in Europe, in Umiya empire which was apparently the largest empire at that time and seat of learning and enlightenment....... Today Russia,China,US, India and EU lead the research scenario because they are the largest nations on the Planet.......

So now Imagine if all the nations of Earth Unite into one nation..... what kind of Technological progress humans will show...... In matter of decades...... they will be immortals as compared to the so called technologically advanced aliens.........

and you know what aliens should fear us.......

If alienz came long ago...some mixed with humans and the alienz leader got mad. Flooded the earth, left a few alienz here along with a few surviving humans.

The alienz left here eventually died, with none of their life forms here for them to reincarnate into.

They'd want to investigate the human DNA to find their own hidden in our DNA. Then they can engineer their own species here again so they can escape the Prison Planet and get back at their alien buddies.

Our technological leap / wars....all from them trying to advance us enough to do their work for them to bring them back to life.

If they are so advanced they can basically treat us as animals and breed their own test groups... instead of abducting Also if they are so advanced they should have already figured it out..... so abductions should have stopped a LONG time ago unless they are incompetent OR they just like to terrorize humans.

Slaves with the ability to think would be better than machines that don't think.

if that was the case then why are all companies moving to automation?? I would rather have a machine than slaves.. you have to house slaves.. you have to let slaves rest feed them and so on. Slaves can rebel machines cannot. The benefits of a machine over a thinking slave is more appealing. Less overhead less of a headache to have machines. practical. And why would you need thinking slaves if they are inferior to thinking aliens?? As an alien i would just want to think things up and have machine do it for me.

Humans have been self annihilating since the beginning of time and not as of late.
In regards to analogy of a virus:
1. You are assuming that we can't annihilate the virus. Just because you don't know of a cure doesn't mean that one doesn't exists .

2. Less money to be made from a cure versus treatment.

3. We are trying to control it in the open because its a threat to us and looks like we are pretty darn close to doing it.

1. Just because its almost impossible for humans to create such a drug it doesn't mean it would be an issue for an advance non human civilization.

2. Just because you aren't aware of the feasibility of creating such a drug doesn't make it unfeasible. Do you think a gov't organization would disclose having such a drug available to them. I would say no Fn way, and it would be considered above top secret (pun intended ).

3. The only way your theory makes sense to me is:
1. You assume the aliens don't have the measure to alter our DNA or create a drug to effect all humans.
2. AND there primary goal is to SOLELY take out the human race while KEEPING all other earthling creatures alive.

IMO Its an interesting theory for a movie the OP has, but not likely in reality. In reality its probably much more dull. I think if a more advance civilization than us existed and was visiting us, than they would only take interest on us much like we take interest in life forms that are below us (scientific).

We like to study sharks,bees,flies, etc because its part of our enviroment and things that effect them effect us as well, and changes in them can also be used as early warnings signs. However, we typically don't wipe them out because they are not a direct threat to us. Hence, I would think a more plausible explanation for abductions would be scientific in nature versus destruction.

Like I said before , we only worry about killing those that are as powerful as us (humans) or more powerful than us, and not the other way around. . Therefore, if an advance alien civilization wanted us gone we would be gone. Lets hope they don't view us as lab rats nor do Aliens have corporations that stand to benefit from wiping humanity of the planet. Than again I don't see how an advance civilization could have evolved with corporations.

Not at all sorry to say. There are so many groups with so many agendas that have been doing abductions the past 50 years it would be impossible to narrow it all down to one motive. However, what you are referring to is not a virus program it's genetic. There is a breeding program happening and it's for the benefit of US (Humans) and the grays who can no longer process sunlight correctly or reproduce naturally.
