I don't think this about tit for tat.
In fact, I don't think it matters who or where the documentary was made.

You can't deny that the content shows how propaganda has been used against us westerners.

I wonder if the people of N Korea actually get to watch this documentary. I doubt it, as it may make the N Koreans question their own slavery and worship of their "great Leader".

Thanks for the post.

I just finished the first video, and although i agree with 99.9% of things said, i find it hilarious that this comes from North Korea.

Any logical thinking North Korean would surely watch this video and see how these same tools are used against themselves.

Hypocrisy at its' best.

I didn't deny that propaganda has never been use on or against Western society. You can find documentaries and such about the subject and pointed it out just like one user said.

I'll admit I got touchy, but I tire of hearing the drivel that the NK Gov's propaganda wing and hearing a chime of agreement in the comments.

As for propaganda itself it always going to present in society any society(for the foreseeable future anyways) but the western civilization always has the option to chose what they believe and investigate and research topics themselves.

What goes on in NK has absolutely no relevance to the content in this documentary. Maybe you should watch it, you might learn something.

whens have you ever seen a "Fight the Tali ban, Enlist today" poster with a racist poster of a Arabic guy getting knocked out by captain America?

I guess you prefer this form of propaganda?

I never said I agreed with any propaganda and don't partake in any if I can avoid. Which is why I'm not gonna waste my time watching the doc.

EDIT:

Also GW? Come on you can do better than that

If you think that ability of posting any rubbish on the internet is freedom then you are sorely mistaken and already conditioned for nwo, good job and welcome on board son!

Try to exercise your "freedom" and stop paying taxes because you think that they are misused. Try to start selling food you grown yourself. Try to not vaccine your kids because you don't believe vaccines are good. Try not to send them to school because you dont believe they will learn anything worthy in there.
Be my guest.

www.usatoday.com...

Is that not propaganda on their part, too?

If they were taught to hate Americans because of American propaganda then their children learn to hate Americans due to the American Propaganda. The parents are not at fault because they are only pointing out their enemies to their children to teach them who is responsible for mass murders worldwide under the guise of "Freedom". The children need to learn who to hate.

Look, I thought the videos were interesting and had some glaring truths. But North Korea engages in progaganda, also. I'm just calling that out. As for children's parents not being at fault andschools teaching children to learn who to hate, well...I don't think children should learning to hate, period.

So guess who is responsible for it now? Take a wild guess? You? Me? Some guy on 5th street? Some communist infiltrator in our government? Hitler? Who do we blame for worldwide hatred of Americans?

Look in a mirror.

Better than that? The propaganda in the above videos resulted in two wars, millions of Iraqi civilians dead, thousands of US soldiers dead and many maimed.

All over lies....and the American public either doesn't know about it or doesn't care.

What is better than that?

Great thread and video... so true!

However.... this video itself can act as propaganda... the fact that it succeds to change the perception of viewers on these subjects it means its very effective and has succeded in its purpose! Either to "open the mind on the people" OR "direct them on a different direction of beliefs".

Via the use of shocking images and images on how people can become stupid sometimes... it just makes you wonder!! What is stacked on my mind is the "Oprah" part of the video, showing people screaming and crying for receiving a gift of boots or shirts....after seeing these it made me understand HOW MUCH the media control us

they wouldn't, north koreans don't have the ability to use the internet, they get all their information through a filtered intranet. the only people with full internet is dear leader and his generals.
heck they don't have an internet system, they get it from russia.

i find it ironic that the video talks about the west using propaganda to suppress free thought, when NK doesn't let their citizens access the internet out of fear they start a revolution.
like someone said the videos seem more like criticism of western culture and less like propaganda. it is quite ironic that the videos are nothing but propaganda.

there is no proof this is even from north korea or that north koreans even watch it.
they aren't taught to hate us from american propaganda, they are taught to hate us from anti-americian propaganda, shoved down their throats by every authority figure from the moment they are born.

they hate us because they are told that americans are imperialist scum, that want to rape pillage and kill them, to destroy their way of life out of hating their dear leader and the glorious peoples state that his grandfather created.

this is stupid, please at least learn about how their culture is. they blame us for their lack of food, even though we feed them. they are taught to hate us because their propaganda machine teaches them that we are to blame for the sanctions and blockages that leads them to suffer and not the actions of their own leaders,
they are taught that they are at war with the west, and are trained to hate us. they have no knowledge of the outside world, they know nothing about the west except gross exaggerations.

though the actions of america can be argued to be blamed for its own problems sometimes, north korea's hate is not the case.

living in NK is like living your life in a cave, people that cross into south korea have to be taught about the rest of the world, they know nothing about the rest of the world.

Oh my lord.... Watching a propaganda film about US propaganda makes me ROFLMAO. NK or the worst offender of blatant propaganda. Anyone remember the Pueblo incident?

Now here's what a society looks like when everyone can see through the propaganda and think for themselves:

At least in this country, no-one actually forces you to watch Oprah. Turn off the TV and take a walk in the woods.

Why must everyone jump to the hate conclusion? I think they're just teaching them not to trust the West, which is a very worthwhile lesson if you ask me. Especially when you consider just how un-trustworthy we are.

What did you think about the living conditions there? Is the media censorship as bad as it is reported to be? And as for the military, is conscription still mandatory?
