Something asked me to ask this question to the populace. They than said, tell them 'that’s our reasons as well’ '.I then said; what’s your point in asking a question with an answer with no answers from the populace to see your results on your question that you wanted me to ask?

And no. I would not. We like to kill/eat/study/test/torture etc. anything that we consider abnormal or different than us. We perceive those differences as threats and it scares us. I don't think it would be wise for anything with more than generic pudding for brains to land on earth claiming they come in peace. They will be IN pieces more than likely shortly afterward. As sad as that sounds....I stand behind it. I honestly think that is what would happen.

I would hope to have some cool alien power to freak everybody out. Maybe being able to fly or walk through walls.

If I was an Alien from another planet I would not set foot on Planet Earth.
We have treated our planet like it belonged to somebody else. It is riddled with disease, turmoil and destruction.
I would make the quickest U-turn my travel machine would allow and never come anywhere near the place again.

I can. All of us would not do or want to see done the things I described. A lot of us would not be freaked out at all if they came in peace. That's pretty nice IMO, but it wouldn't matter what regular folks wanted. The government would step in and do as they pleased like they always do, regardless.

I would tend to agree, humans are a rowdy bunch. Why risk gettin shot at by Jethro? Or assualted by the crazy cat lady trying to get some crazy alien love pudding?

People cannot accept anything outside the realm of their existance. We are still animals that way....change one thing in their daily program and watch the madness ensue. No matter how small of a change it causes self centered personal havoc.

that would violate the "PRIME DIRECTIVE" remember!

why would any self-respecting sentient being in the universe want to visit this backwater planet to begin with ... far more interesting places elsewhere ... and more intelligence elsewhere ...

If I were an alien I'de be like "Dude! Our planet has been destroyed! We need a home, PLEASE!" The nations would say "NO" Then i'de make deals with the US and other powerful nations saying, "If you give me some land underground, i'll give you some cool technology like weapons, affordable micro technology, new techniques to harvest renewable energy ect.." Then they would be like "Yes! You're more than welcome!" Then I would tell them we need to have military bases to cover up our underground bases. In return "you can fly all the cool toys I gave you." People would start seeing these weird craft and i'll immediately infiltrate the government, to censor and cover up all the advanced air craft (human/alien) that people deem as UFO's. People would eventually run into incidents of humans seeing one of my alien buddies. Then, as an alien who has monopolised the military, and the government, I will take control of the mass media. I would tell the humans to have shows like the X-Files on Sci-Fi channel or whatever.

Oh yeah, my PS3 has a text limit. Sorry for the wall of text though
But with these Sci-Fi channels and movies about aliens will condition the earthlings to see aliens as something completely fictional.
With all the governments, military, and media under my extremely heavy influence, I would then sit back and make a T.V. show called EARTH for me and all my alien buddies to watch and laugh at the seemingly endless stupid things we humans do. But I would never make myself known unless I wanted to exterminate the human race, but I would NEVER want to do that, because then there would be nothing to watch on TV...

Assuming I am a member of an intelligent race of beings not human.....

It's rather obvious why we wouldn't want to make ourselves known.

Yet in saying this, particularly if I have some claim to right, I would still covertly explore the planet. I am assuming that a basis for science and exploration is present in this alien race - that somehow got from where they are from - to here. Secondly, I'd imagine that if they are space-faring, that is their home, space.

I'm under the firm belief that when ET say's here I am...
They are coming to clean up our Sh*t...
And we are already in big trouble...
