Drug-resistant germ shows up in Rhode island.

A germ has been found in Rhode Island that is immune to most antibiotics. Yes, this is not unheard of. In fact, this is the 13th time this strain of bacteria has been found in the U.S. The real concern is the fact that this bacterium has a mutation in its DNA, housed in the plasmid, which make this resistance to antibiotics, and easy to pass to other bacteria. The CDC has stated that there is only one antibiotic that can treat this bacteria, for now. this really highlights the over use of antibacterial measures we have in America and around the world. Give this more time and most things will be resistant to our drugs. I feel that the doctors get pressure from big pharma and so they fill us will drugs and now we are seeing another result of there greed.
