Trying to pin the current economic status of the US/World on the current admin is partisan tripe. These are SYSTEMIC issues, perpetuated by both parties, over decades. Those are all far more substantive issues to blame Obama for than the economy.

Republicans blame Obama for the economy, because they know they cant actually criticize him for the myriad things that they themselves support, like you list.

I agree with you, but clearly people use the TITLE of threads to "spin" or maybe a better word would have been "spark" interest and sway readers to "click" on the thread. Plus, just in the little time I've been here, I notice how much people are drawn in to arguments (and such) and then FEED on it.

That is all I meant by the remark. Of course, every word I speak will be torn apart into pieces and will be used against me (or for me) in any way to either make me look like a fool because I'm not as "politically intelligent" as all of you and "haven't done my research" as much as you. Well you know what, I'm NOT the most knowledgeable about every detail of politics and the news, but I have done enough research FOR ME to decide what's truth FOR ME. It's really quite simple and easy to see, I don't need to read every action Obama has or has not taken or every article on the web. It's quite easy to determine a mindset with only a few unnerving details that unveil the character of a man.

The article with statistics was an interesting find, not something I was blindly assuming was all Obama's doing. Clearly, the writer wrote the article in an anti-Obama light, but saying these were 70 things Obama doesn't want you to see.... NOT that Obama caused all of them.

Average American: Since 2007/2008 The whole world has changed. We were lucky we weren't laid off but struggle to pay the bills and keep going. Stocks crashed with children's college money and retirement money, we got stuck with a house we were trying to flip and had to become terrified landlords. That has been a very difficult odessy. If we lost our job we would lose both homes.... Some friends took years to sell their house, and finally settled on a house swap for a house and cash. They ended up landlording the house from the swap.
They rented it out rent to own, which lowered their property taxes on the rental.

Food and gas prices went into orbit. I have teenagers to feed, Auldis is the it grocery store now. With other items you can not get many of the products because they cheapened the quality and quantity, or they stopped making as much of it. Yard sales have gained in popularity and selling all the extra clutter items in the trader papers.

Salaries stagnated. Bonus and raises stoped five years ago. 401K plans were stopped, health care down scaled, people were laid off at work, which means my husband did the work of of three to four people. Company shelf inventory and stock supplies were lowered to the bare minimum. All company travel came to a complete end. The reward cards for airlines and hotels started revoking the rewards miles we had already earned due to inactivity. That's just robbery in my opinion. We started cleaning out closets for holiday gift giving, and cut back on anything and everything we could.

Why is it we cant get a proper CEO to run the government? Economies are so complicated now, a politician should have a degree in finances. We the people are tired of paying for war. Free energy discoveries would turn the economy over for new jobs developing new technologies. That is all.

I just wanna say, you are assuming I'm Republican, which I'm not.

I actually voted for Obama in 2008..... I even cried. I considered myself a Democrat all my life.

I won't be voting for Obama or Mitt Romney. I won't go against what I believe is true. Is that OK with you?

Yes, if you combine 'all other programs' and compare it to defense spending, you have an argument. Of course, people have actually paid INTO many of those programs. But the Defense budget is only outcome, and increases every year.

And under Obama, the increase so far has been 14.2 million. To be exact, the program has so far grown by 444,574 fewer recipients during Obama's time in office than during Bush's.

just look at the decline. under clinton wages went up. But when bush went into office the started to go down again.

Look I understand you're not hapy with Obama. But look at what Obama inherited. And congress isn't helping by not passing a budget. It's a load of crap. You want to blame someone. Don't blame the executive branch. Blame congress.

Medicaid is welfare. Medicare is for people 65 years or older. Don't confuse the two.

I call b.s. on this one. I don't believe I have seen gas below $2 in my 15 years of driving. of it said $2.85 maybe I would believe it but not $1.85.
