This is so funny. God really have made an increadable jobb evolving ous to the point where we can be lighthearted like this and enjoy his creations without the ego views getting in the way and not being to serious. Thank you for bringing me laughter. I sometimes thinks cats know more than we notice about some things.

I think it gives some great insight into how each culture incorporates a translation into their language and understanding and how any translation can't be taken as absolutely literal. It's when we try to follow scripture word-for-word that problems arise.

A translation is merely a way to bring a concept into a langauge that we can understand. The original scripture wasn't written in English, but so many different religious sects keep trying to demand that it be taken word for word, not really understanding what the orginal words were.

There are some extreme examples who would even put the KJV or the newer ones over the original language itself and that's doing a great diservice to it as well as breeding hatred and contempt due to the arrogance of believing their own language or translation is more important than any other.

If we want the true meaning, we have to look at the original language and understand how the translations were made. That includes understanding the culture and history of that time period and people don't want to put that effort into it, so they end up believing the ideas of a group of men instead of the ideas of God. I see that as a bigger offense then not believing at all. Twisting of scripture is much, much worse than not knowing scripture to begin with.

.... and this particular translation is light hearted, funny, entertaining and may just open scripture up to people who have been offended by the over-serious nature of others who don't comprehend that even the KJV and especially the newer ones like "The Word" and the "New Living Translation" are nothing more than exactly what this link it, putting the concepts into another language and altering the concepts to fit their own ideas.
