Drone industry expected to explode

In 2001, the Defense Department had 90 drones. Just eleven years later, though, and it has an arsenal of more than 9,500 remotely piloted aircraft. With wars winding down overseas, most of those unmanned aircraft will be used domestically for surveillance and disaster assistance, raising safety and privacy concerns.

With money being thrown around on things like this, and since the defense department is really chummy with the contractors themselves, I cannot see a future without an extreme use of these drones. I fear for the privacy of my future children...

I fear for those drones. There are a lot of people that would put a bullet through one when given the chance

I hear a well placed .50 cal round works real well. Or if you have a directional emp weapon.. which i would like to purchase.....=P

Im sure if one is inventive enough you can rig one together with the same basic principles and use stuff from your local hardware store ,
I think the distance would be an issue though. So just shoot it =P.

you are not hitting these things while they are in the air unless they are taking off or landing.

or you have a jet with precision lasers.

need to pass legislation in congress banning the use of drones and exiling the companies who think this type of mass security is necessary. start with expelling the current government did I?...
