I practice tarot cards, Norse rune casting, and pendulum work. So far, I have never been wrong. Undoubtedly, someone will request me to prove it.

1. I do not care about proving myself to others. I am secure enough with myself to not worry about the opinions of others.

2. I need to be with the person physically if he/she wants me to do a reading for them.

As for crystal balls, they are just a method of bringing out your subconcious thoughts so you can "see" them.

Yes....there are honest and true Fortune Tellers, Mind Readers, & Psychics....some help police departments, and murder investigations. The problem is, "most" of them are fake, money grabbing, phonies.....which make it look really bad for those that are honest with a gift!

I personally believe that true psychics should NEVER charge for thier services and never use thier abilities for financial gain (for the psychic or the querant).

Having these abilities is, in my opinion, a gift from God. Charging people money in exchange for a reading or service doesn't strike me as what God intended those abilities to be used for.

I don't think it makes a viable business in & of itself.

It's much easier to do it for oneself & friends for entertainment where there's no pressure involved. Nothing to lose, only something to gain.

I've met a few...

I myself have some limited gifts, but most aren't very useful for much more than entertainment...or finding a parking spot, hehe...

My mother went to a rather amazing one once... The seer told my mother that she had a sister in the spirit world. My mom has 3 brothers. The seer said that this sister needs a name, she was never given one... She also told my mom she'd marry a soldier, and have two boys (all of which she did). She later (years later) found out that her mom (my grandma) had a miscarriage, and it was a girl. I was able to convince my grandma to then give her a name...
I should note that the seer did not know of my mother or my grandmother, and this was in a town she had just moved to. She charged for her services by having a donation basket, and asked only that her customers give what they felt her reading was worth.

Actually, both my daughter and I are professional Tarot card readers and professional palmists, and I've taught others how to do it. It *can* be a viable business, but it can certainly take a lot out of you. We'd go home after an evening's reading for clients and be just drop-dead tired.

From a true Mystic, Thank-you and I agree. Thats were the Preachers go worng when speaking of these types of gifts. GOD is against it when used for personal and deceptive purposes.

Personally I can whip up a birth chart that will outline everything a psychic or tarot reader would tell you and more because it gives the complete picture. I called a psychic line once, one of Miss Cleos friends actually. She wasnt wrong but it wasnt fulfilling. I soon learned how to do charts and I got what she had mentioned plus a whole lot more. Getting a birth chart is far better.

there is no evidence of any of this powers, cold reading and guessing is all there is.

I've been really interested in getting such a thing done for myself, out of curiosity and such. I wondered though if some of these people could possibly use the power of suggestion through their 'powers' in influencing a persons life to be somewhat like they proclaim through readings? I suppose it depends on how much that person believes in the reading... or doesn't it?

Yes....I agree. Some of the more credible people with such talents seem to live troubled, tortured lives and don't make a cent from their....talents...I was gonna say gifts, but a gift is a good thing, whereas seeing dead people hardly seems like something you'd wish for Christmas.

I'm curious how someone could have cold read my mother (in the above case), when she didn't even know, herself at the time...

I'll agree that the majority of those claiming this are frauds, but having met some real ones in my life, I can tell you it isn't all bunk... When it comes to the paranormal, I'm more of a jack of all trades (and master of none)...but I wish I had the focused abilities some of those I've met have....

Hi Lazarus

Well, as this is what I do, I guess I have to believe in it.
When I was a child, I thought everyone could just "know things", as I did. I didn't understand why what I said, upset people, you know, impending deaths, people out of the blue visiting, etc. I realised in my early 20's that what I was doing, was using my intuitive ability, in an unknowing way. Most natural Clairvoyants do not think they are until the feedback, things playing out the way they said, becomes overwhelming. Then, it becomes disturbing to those around you, because they think you are looking into them and their little secrets. This is not the way it works and who could be bothered anyway. I have been working in the field for about 10 years now and still are amazed at how accurate the received information can be. I know it works. Whether it be face to face, or over the phone or email.

Cheers

Malai5

You don't know till you know!!!!

Not every psychic uses the same tools for their trade.

The balls and things are just focusing points.

You can't deny something you never experienced.

I have a friend whom is constantly being used as an advisor by the local law enforcement. She has worked on most for the local cases and some national.

Like she said, she had other plans for her life, she wanted to be a mom, wife and hang with her family and friends.

Instead she almost died, (had a near death experience), in a house fire that killed her husband and 3 children, over 30 yrs ago.

She has used her life since to help others with her ability to connect with other vibrations.

She is a Christian Unity Minister .

...and an honestly beautiful person

Its all a mind game. Most get cues on what you talk about with them and your postures and they ride it for all its worth. Most are flim flam artists nothing more my friend, its a waste of time. All the "truths" they speak are coincedence.

Some people though, are gifted by God but for those people these powers must be used for good and must be monitored because it is so easy to fall in Satan's grip and use them for him and his plans sometimes unwillingly or willingly.

I understand your perspective. I feel im very observant and I can pickup subtle gestures and cues from people but this is not what I mean. I cannot explain it with the clarity I require to excuse coincidence.

Sceptics, stay sceptics. This is but one thing of many that i have noticed since childhood that I wanted to raise to see if anyone else had a similar experience...

I feel its a case of the person actually thinking of me before he/she phones or knocks on the door and that im just receiving it.

Is it real? Possibly. But it appears from what I've read that anyone who seems credible with true abilities arent famous and put their abilities to good use. I think most of the are frauds, you know, the people with little shops, tents, whatever. But then theres two types of people who do this, people who truly believe they have these powers, and people who know they are ripping off people and feeding off their vulnerability. I think some people might have true abilities, but you wont see them on tv.
