The significant problems we have can not be solved with the same mindset with which we created them.

-Einstein

Experience is not what people are experiencing. Its what people use it for.

It's not what we do once in a while that counts, but our constant acts.

Mines got to be the all knowing Buddah,
this quote helped me turn my life around:

"Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal, with the intent of throwing it at some body else, you are the one who will get burned"

And while we're here:

"The mind is everything, what you think, you become"

My favorite ATS member quote was posted in a thread about two months ago, where WildTimes asked us to summarize our spiritual beliefs in four words or less. Although his response contained more than four words, I was awestruck by its insight, and wrote it down:

Embrace the dialectic ambivalence
Sky is God enough
peaceful people, peaceful gods
-pthena

And Germanicus, how dare you? We became so close when I replied with "Friends, Romans, Countrymen, Lend us your testicles...'
You are one chilly man.

This planet is as beautiful as it is sick. That's the reality. It can touch your heart and it can rip it out of your chest.

The quote I have always loved was the one in my signature.

"A human being is a part of the whole called by us "Universe" a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest — a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security." Albert Einstein
