I can't believe there are people in here that stick up for the banks! What the hell is the matter with you? You work in a bank or something? Or is it you are looking to work in one? So they gamble like anything, they lend out money they don't even have, they sell on debts born of money they never had. But some how they are the good guys?

This 1.5 million is a drop in the ocean! I'm glad the guy got a tiny portion of the peoples money back! The guys supporting the banks are obviously just trolls/haters! Simple as that!

Screw the banks and anyone that defends them!

You are so completely off base it isn't even funny, no i do not work for a bank nor do I wish to. I am not defending the bank. I am pissed about the moral side of the story. The fact that people are allowed to take what they want whether it be Joe Shmoe on the street or BoA. In reality the money was stolen from the tax payer, because the money was stolen from us with the bail outs.

I am glad that your moral compass is pointing due south my friend. Theft is theft regardless of does it.

According the posts on this thread we should all just go out and be "heroes" and rob us a few banks...yeehaw boys lets go get them big bad bankers.....

The whole world is circling the drain, moral values are completely bankrupt in this country...maybe we can get a bail out for that.

Basically all I have heard so far is:

"Yippie....the banks are bad so it's ok to steal from them."

No wonder this country is in a sh*t hole that we can't get out of.

So if we actually look at our current society, we the public get screwed at every turn.

Car dealerships charge more money and make profit off our purchases...we should go steal cars off the lots.
Gas station perpetrate a horrendous theft to the American public...lets all go rob the gas stations and drain the fuel tanks
All consumer based stores have an incredible mark up on goods...we should be heroes and rob them all blind.

These examples can go on and on.

My son once stole a dollar from his Grandmother, when I found out what happened I wore his ass out, made him return the dollar, and apologize. After that I discussed with him the importance of working for what you earn, and that is it not right to take something from someone just because you can. I am I am screwed up...

We must be a dying breed my friend going by the posts in this thread along with the illegals thread.

Where do people get the idea that 2 wrongs make a right?

What an idiot.. he went from $300 to $1.5 million to $-1.5million and jail time. Lost it all gambling?

Though I do have to wonder.. should the casino repay the funds that were acquired illegally?

Is there proof he actually spent it at the casino or did he just withdraw it there. They should be able to determine given that casinos have the best recording equipment out there.

If he simply hid it and claimed he spent it though, at least he came up with a decent story.

I still don't get how this is a crime though. Overdraft is an extension of credit. Banks give extra credit to people all the time.

It's like leaving my car keys for someone, telling them when the keys are there they can use it, and get mad when the put too many miles on it.

Strange story.....even stranger that I haven't heard anything about it on the TV, Radio or Newspapers in Detroit. You'd think it be a good story......

Bank of America is Evil......I don't feel bad for them at all. Just shows their incompetence. We should have let them fail when we had the chance.

This does not bother me at all. It's kind of an ironic situation, because he did to the bank(s) what they have been doing to us for a long time.

lol

I sounds like he was getting cash (from the excerpt posted). How long would it take to get 1.5 million out of am ATM? This would have had to be going on for a long time.

PS: OP link bad

I thought this too but the article says he had unlimited withdrawals and took the money out over 1 year. I wonder if they have evidence like receipts to say he gambled it all? it would be a great cover story, then stash the money somewhere, and give some to friends and family.
