"Monarchy is a mystery. Simply factoring it down to a case of what appears to be undeserved wealth is a hopelessly inadequate appreciation of it."
Seriously? We, who oppose a monarch, are just hopelessly underappreciating it?
Do you know why democracies refuse to have a monarch?
I see little to appreciate.
Please, by all means, inform us.
Can you define democracy? As far as I'm aware, the UK is one (and please, don't act like an idiot and say otherwise). Please, by all means, inform me otherwise.
why do so many non-Brits have this obsession with a person who has absolutely no relevance, effect or influence on their lives?

I am appaled at the rudeness on this thread
It is immaterial whether you agree or disagree with the monarchy. This 85 year old woman
is somebodys
* Mother
* Grandmother
* Sister
* Wife
And people here are referring to her a slag, bloated parasite and other unpleasant names!
How would any of you like that type of reference made about your own mothers,
grandmothers.sisters or wife? ?
I am not a monarchist but i draw the line at the rudeness being displayed on this thread
She is an 85 year old woman doing a job, most women have been retired for 25 years by now!
i didn't watch it but i believe she stood for the full two hours on that barge on the river on a
very unpleasant day
Personally i think she deserves some respect.

try lady gaga, any college dropout who can drain 30 points in a game, any hillbilly with a 64% pass completion rate, a flag, a computer and cell phone company, a shoe, a sneaker company, guns, cars, the list is starting to get endless.

Fair enough, you are obviously the voice of the UK and know what the UK want
Just don't visit us or else you might find yourself examining the decor in the Tower
Why not put YOUR efforts into sorting out YOUR own country and leave ours to us

First of all, The Queen has no real power.
I live in the UK, have worked in various jobs and roles etc.....I've followed politics since the early 80's and I assure you, The Queen has no power - but of course you'll know better than me??

The UK is not a Democracy and never has been. Democracy is government by the people. If you think that's what we actually have then it's you sir that is being silly
Why? The UK rate of obesity isn't very far behind the USA's.
I think this convo is silly
A lot of ATS members/conspiracy theorists believe she is part of the nwo and therefore has influence on their lives.

Only because some elites supported peasants to weaken the monarch this chopping heads happened. Today,Brits have a good propaganda system which makes the brits worship the queen like how north koreans worship Kim Sung and his sons .
Also ,Britain is a full of spy cameras so that the queen can spy on anyone.Also ,dissidents can be located and murdered this way.
