HANG IN THERE MATES........USA IS NEXT IN LINE, TO BE ON THE DOOMED LIST

Tony Blair is to make it clear that he wants to take Britain into the single currency despite the need for a 'short pause' while the last of the five economic tests are met.

He does not want to wait.....what is the hurry? Sheesh!

Way to go Tony. Despite what other people in the UK might think I for one think joining the Euro is a good idea. One day we will have to live with the fact that one currency will be used by most everyone. I`d prefer to get in now more on our own terms than wait and have to grovel to the kindly Euro governments to let us in.

What makes you think America will adopt the European Euro?

One world economy........the idea.
Cashless Society, acceptance leads to it all........Malcom X
would have resisted this idea. Don't you think?

"What makes you think America will adopt the European Euro?"

Is there another one? African Euro would surely be the Afro.

Something like that would be way down the line, past our lifetimes (depending on medical advances).
But I think it will one day get down to two currencies fighting it out......

One point to note is that in the year 2000 Iraq stopped trading oil in US dollars and started trading it in Euros thus causing the US economy to falter. Draw your own conclusions.

He's saying that the Euro is made for Europe, hence the name Euro, if I am not mistaken. The Euro is meant for European countries located in Europe, NOT America. The U.S. already has their own currency and it was very strong.

Won't happen and frankly, ain't going to happen. The US will stay with the currency it has versus the Euro. Unfounded "hype" is all this Euro and US dollar amounted to......
Anybody spotted this?
Euro Falls Against Dollar, Yen as German Confidence Declines

Economic reports this month showed U.S. job growth and retail sales accelerating. Yesterday's U.S. Conference Board index of leading economic indicators had the biggest year-on-year gain in two decades.

Were the Euro-patsy's at to recognize and comment to this? "Come out, come out where ever you are....."

Caution: The US economy hasn't even begun to hit full stride or peak. Imagine the further impact against the Euro when this takes place.

Or, you could say the EU is actually VERY American in that it wants to copy America's power-hungry behvior.

The Eurozone wants the Euro to drop in value.
It's been overvalued for a while now and it's hurting exports. The one advantage it has given them though, is protection from the rising oil prices.

Let's watch what happens after Greenspan speaks:

Live Eur/USD chart:

If he says there will be no rise in interest rates, the dollar should decline.

You freaks ever came up with the idea that most Europeans just don't give a poop about the US Dollar and what the US is doing with his economy or if Britain joins the EURO countries?

You never thought of that? We just don't care about it!!! And if you want to know what the Euro is cool for - I can now travel through most Europe with one currency and I won't pay too much anywhere as I realise when prices are made higher just for tourists. It is a comfortable thing and the main thought it so create an ECONOMIC(you nerds always love to think about it is mostly for politics and military...) equivalent to the USA, Russia and the Asian states. Else every single european country would struggle in the clash of big economies.

God, does every new innovation have to be a step towards the "evil one world government" that wants to take away your guns? Some times I think there's kooks on this board....

You're exactly right, American power hungry behavior came from Europe, although at this point it time, it's hardly reasonable to continue blaming someone else for our behavior. It's nice that you agree with me that America is power hungry, though. At least we see eye to eye there.
