It is proably a new species and only one exists. We hacked a piece off and it will die?

All that bandwidth. All that photoshopping. All the conjecture, guesswork, hopes and dreams.
Over a giant stonebaked mushroom pizza, with extra cheese.

I love this place!

Sure dogs cannot speak human language, but they can sure as hell communicate.

Cats can too.

Anyone who has ever owned a pet knows animals can indeed communicate in their own way.

Now, in regards to the thread, I think the fact that there is something that huge and unknown at this time is really awesome. It is so great that we are still discovering new things on our very own planet.

Exciting times to be alive that's for sure.

I don't see anything other than it being compared to a piggin' mushroom. It is thought to be sandstone, and it looks like sandstone cemented, not unlike this, The Yonaguni Underwater anomaly, although not quite the same, but still formatted sandstone.

This too is under debate as to being natural or man made. Still interesting here though, sandstone formations are very much generations away from the original sources of the sandstone itself.

The difference between believers and non~ - if it is not a spaceship you are disappointed? Provided that they didn't lie again, wouldn't such mushroom be amazing? And why is it not on the news if it really is that? Such thing would be in the news as much as 9/11 or at least as much as your president elections.

What annoyed me from the article you linked:

These guys are not a bunch of crazy UFO hunters, but ...

Gd damn retards who post these articles, do you see who is making all the topic look like a joke? Some clueless morons who put everyone dealing with that under the 'crazy' flag, Cluelessness and talking crap. THE WORST ENEMY of Intelligence, needs to be suppressed.

Unfortunately, Democracy that allows you even to show your Boobs and C*NT in public is the reason for such crappy lines existing on the internet. Cause everyone can write whatever they want.

But there is still the possibility of the mushroom being of extraterrestrial origin. I personally have never heard of underwater giant mushrooms before...

It makes me think of a possible cover-up, remember Roswell, first the media reported it, then the cover story came of it being a weather balloon.

"On another dive, a sledgehammer was used to obtain samples of the material."

A SLEDGEHAMMER is needed to get samples of a mushroom?

SF, I've been waiting for the results of what this could be, ever since the anouncement of investigation.

Could it be sedimented mushroom or smth? Like objects staying at the bottom may become coated with a layer of sediments thus this whitish CaCO3

Form external, "These guys are not a bunch of crazy UFO hunters, but "

Glad to see that was not altogether missed. We've even had a poster here talking about ATSer's all being head-the-ball conspiracy theorists, while being a UFO buff, totally ignoring how much that UFO's themselves are steeped in conspiracy.

I still think it is possible this is a crashed UFO, but most likely something that crashed hundreds, maybe thousands of years ago.

I just read an article that said "the divers compared the object to the shape of a mushroom". Which does NOT mean that it is a mushroom, so it is possible that nobody even said this was a mushroom at all, but the mainstream media saw "mushroom" and grasped at it without looking at the context.

Directly from the press release:

"First they thought it was just stone or a rock cliff, but after further observations the object appeared more as a huge mushroom, rising 3-4 meters/10-13 feet from the seabed, with rounded sides and rugged edges. The object had an egg shaped hole leading into it from the top, as an opening. On top of the object they also found strange stone circle formations, almost looking like small fireplaces. The stones were covered in something resembling soot."

They did not say it was a mushroom, they said it looked like one.

If you just look at the facebook page, you must be blind not to see the "crazy" people on there (as well as on other, cough, several forums).

They found an "anomaly" at the bottom of the ocean (whatever it might be) - and the facebook page is full of remote viewing, NAZI UFOs and basically *each and everything* remotely having to do with UFOs and the paranormal.

No wonder that no serious scientist would touch the subject with a stick - this is SAD because the "object" could indeed be something of interest in many ways.

Any, by the way, many (most?) "UFO buffs" are indeed acting emotional, irrational and more like religious freaks as opposed to normal people who have an interest in the subject. From that P.O.V: the expression "crazy people" is often more than justified.

They found it had carbon scoring, but being the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs, I don't find this at all surprising.

Its stone ( maybe sandstone) that's mushroom shaped in appearance , it is not a giant mushroom .
Once again they release nondescript pictures of the thing to keep you all sucked in and retain an air of mystery over what is at the end of the day a rock or a collection of rocks .

What I can't work out is why this is still being posted in the Aliens and UFOs forum as we now know its neither Alien or a UFO .

Their website does give both and e-mail and phone for pictures it says...maybe you could try it. it sounds to me to be still very mysterious in nature. we will soon see as it seems they will release information in Sweden.

Or... perhaps those deposits are a by-product of the process when Hans Solo was frozen in Carbonite? Probably a droid was sloppy with the Carbonite spray can...

Try to wrap your head around it.
Most people know this as the Millennium Falcon Baltic Sea UFO, everything else on it has been posted here in UFO's, it is where I looked to find the story covered on ATS and though it may be incorrectly placed here, until mods move it, I can't move it for you. That's pretty much it in a nutshell.

Did you read the story? They are already fairly sure it is a colony of mushroom and open to the possibility it is resting on a rock formation. I think the scientific team are familiar with a rock if not a gigantic 'shroom. I am not sure why no one is guessing coral?

"On top of the object they also found strange stone circle formations, almost looking like small fireplaces. The stones were covered in something resembling soot."
Their website
www.oceanexplorer.se...
very clear that he meant Mushroom shaped and smooth. Note they say object not growth or other plant type thing.

The object is probably something covered in a layer that has become like stone. I am sure they took samples of what appears as soot and the did chip a sample of the crust on the object.

The long path to it was confirmed and so it still looks like something that crashed back when it was a river valley or when the water was very shallow to me.

"The path to the object itself can be described as a runway or a downhill path that is flattened at the seabed with the object at the end of it."

Amazing when you consider a Parsec is a measurement of distance not time....

But then it is a giant magic mushroom from a parallel universe...

Cosmic..
