“A US drone fired two missiles on the first floor of a shop in the main market and at least three militants were killed,” a senior official told AFP.

Full article

Yeah. And how many civilians were killed? I love how we're just supposed to take their word for it that it was "militants" who were killed. Sounds like propaganda to me aimed at garnering support for whichever war they are going to try to sell to the American people in the next few years.

I sympathize with what your saying but honestly I don't have a huge problem with the Pakistan drone program. They are dangerous. It would be very bad if they were able to take control of Pakistan... I think India would nuke the whole country before the Islamist got with 15 miles of Islamabad.

That being said. I think there is going to be a push to use drones in syria. This solves the problem of pilots possible being shot down. This would be something we can't stand for!

Waziristan is in Northern Pakistan.

I recently said that I feel a new war coming soon. Doesn't matter if Obomber or Bombney gets in office. The wars are being set up right now. The current POTUS (Puppet of the United States) says he wants us out of Afghanistan by 2014, so I imagine that the new war will start between roughly then and 2016 before he is out of office (or Bombney starts campaigning for his second term).

Keep your eyes on Libya, Syria, Iran or Pakistan. Or quite possibly Egypt. With the ousting of Mubarak, who knows who will end up in power there and that could open the door for a war there.

You heard it here first (I think lol)

No offense, Knaw, but that's exactly what they want. People who "don't have a huge problem with the Pakistan drone program and who believe they are all "dangerous." How would you feel if it was Pakistan telling their population about how "dangerous" America was and they were using drone strikes on us, killing innocent civilians and children?

How are Muslim jihadist in an unstable country not dangerous? I know not to believe everything the media tells me but I'm also not naive.

Like I said I sympathize with the innocent civilians killed. Imagine if the Mexican drug war was spilling over into the united states and killing border agents. I think there would be justifiable cause to use drones in a limit role in Mexico. That's a pretty analogus situation.

How do you know it's "Muslim jihadists"? Because they say it is?

But, hey, you are for drone warfare, no matter who the casulties are, so what can I say to change your mind? Obviously nothing. If the shoe was on the other foot, though. If it was your children in Pakistan being killed through cowardly warfare, I'm sure you would feel differently. In fact if it was your 6 year old son killed in a drone attack, that might cause you to become a "Muslim jihadist." The cycle continues.

I'm for packing up every tank, jet and soldier and bringing them home immediately! We need to stop being the interventionist empire that we have become.

But that fundamental change starts at home, not abroad. So as long as we as a people are committed to imperialism we should do the best darn job at it as possible.

And that entails neutralizing Pakistani insurgence.

I am not committed to imperialism and I refuse to turn a blind eye to it. I refuse to say, "Well, it's happening. What can I do about it? Oh well. Might as well get behind or just ignore it."

What "Pakistani insurgence"? Again where do you get this info? Are you privy to some classified info that none of us are? Or are you just swallowing what they tell you hook, line, and sinker. It's propaganda, man.

Next you're going to tell me what an awesome movie Act of Valor was, and that MW3 is your favorite video game. C'mon, man.

You don't, I do. OH, and I wasn't aware they were at war officially in any capacity with Pakistan, not that targetting the public or civilians in any way, IF you are at war, is not illegal.

There's really no need for sarcastic comments like that. None whatsoever. We're not talking about the 1500s; we're talking about now. If I wanted to be like you, I could say, "You're right; drones were used in the 1500s"
