I really like it. The second guitar you bring in, the electric guitar, around the 14 second mark, I wouldn't have throughout the whole song, though.
Perhaps just use it during the chorus of the song? From I heard though I thought it was pretty good. Can't wait to hear the finished product. I'd
love to craft some lyrics for it when it is done unless you already have some.
Song reminds me of a surfer just walking up to the surf then as the music picks up he's hitting and riding a wave..I don't surf but like the start
of this particular ditty...nice job...
its all ideas for now..and the lead part is just to start it then it dies again for the verses. i still have to write the bridge, pre chorus and the
chorus. this song just came out. i didn't think about it. just what came out and this is what i got. even the harmonized part i just picked a random
spot and it turned out good, lol.
I like it! Carry on, and see where it takes you. I remember hearing Billy Joel in an interview tell the host that one of his songs, " In The Middle
of The Night" came to him in a dream! You've got a talent, keep it up. Let us know how it turns out.
I have dreamed up a lot of songs..they sounds good but its hard to remember sometimes. But i've had a couple of songs written from dreams. It's
honestly weird.
Nice! I like the harmony though I was kind of expecting it to get bigger & wider (& maybe heavier?) at the 3rd repeat. That's just my taste in music
though.
Sounding very good so far anyway!
Will you link to or upload a more complete track later? Would love to hear that
wow! thats really cool!
it kinda reminds me of david gilmore - 'theres no way out of here'.
how did you record all the tracks,on a mixing board or on your computer?
would like to hear the whole piece when its finished! please post when its done>
I hear some Bad Company "Ready For Love" style lyrics going along with this nicely. Good job!
I just downloaded some free multi-track recording software and a rhythm composer, but I haven't installed them yet. What software are you using (If
you don't mind me asking)?
the intro is good you can build off of that but the electrics that come in, you should really save those for after the buildup
dont want to waste their potential away in the first 40 seconds of the song when you can really build up the drums and everything based off that
little acoustic melody.
also dont get sucked into repeating that melody a hundred times, try and change the phrasing/tempo/key
after like 4-6 bars each so it doesnt become repetitive.
Downloading the guitarrig trial as I type. This one looks worth the money for real; thanks for the info. Just picked up an Ibanez RG570 about two
weeks ago; it's a 2000 model. It needs a tremolo bar, a back-plate for the tremolo spring area, and the locking plate for the nut. It sounds great,
so of course... there goes the neighborhood. Anyway, I lost my 4-track recorder a while back and the new guitar makes me want to record something.
I also started working on some online lessons. There are some excellent instructors out there. I won't plug their sites on this forum, but Carl
Brown is one of them; I also like Ben Higgins. Googling their names will bring their videos up with links to the sites. There's also some decent
backing tracks out there to practice with, so man have I been busy...
Here's a sample of Ben's playing...
I had to come back to say that I checked out Doug Marks as well. I don't know what most of you may think of his method, but I thoroughly enjoyed the
lesson I just watched. I signed up for his free course yesterday, and just today watched the first video. I have to give a strong recommendation,
because he's very thorough and easy to understand. He's been teaching since 1982, so that should say something about him...
