U.S. Navy to shift 60 PER CENT of its fleet to the Pacific as China continues to build up its milit

The U.S. Navy will be sending its most sophisticated ships and aircraft to the Asia-Pacific region as it builds up its presence there.
Admiral Cecil Haney, the commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, said on Monday that under a policy recently outlined by Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, 60 per cent of the Navy's fleet will be deployed to the Pacific by 2020.

‘It's not just numbers -- it's also what those platforms, what those units, bring to the table,’ Haney said.

The admiral cited as an example the Littoral Combat Ship, which can operate in shallower waters than other vessels. The Navy plans to begin deploying one of the ships to Singapore next year.

The EA-18G plane -- which can jam enemy air defenses and fly faster than the speed of sound -- is another. Haney said squadrons of these aircraft would be coming through the region.

Saw this today and since there was a 'hot' topic here the last couple days regarding how China would devestate the US navy in the PAcific, I thought this was relevant.

Obviously, this appears to be a tactic to show their force and that the US navy is able to control or at least be able to be in all water regions around the world, and in force. It reminds of the disgusting NWO commercial for the navy...



So obviously, this is just a response to China's increasing military upgrades for not just mainland army but their Navy as well... will this lead to an increase in tension between the two countries? Or maybe just defensive positioning incase the Syria or Iran deal goes sour for the Western countries?!

It's a long time in the making. If the USA insists on being an Empire we should at least be a smart one. China has been growing stronger, unchecked, while the US has been busy playing footsy with camel-driving, backwards, waste-of-time, people in the middle east.

We should have diverted our fleets to Asian years again instead of worrying about who's throwing sand at who in the middle east.

This is all very bad.
I really think that TPTB have a big war planned and that this time the continental US will be bomed and invaded.
And lose the war big time. The final solution. US to become 3rd world country.
If our leaders are having a problem with each other, they should duke it out personally and not endanger their citizens.

Considering how tied together we are economically, how can anyone think there would be armed hostilites between the US and China? Alot of saber-rattling and rhetoric, yes. But that's about it.

This can be countered however we lack the leadership at this point in the military to do what is necessary.

Retraining of upper command-
corruption and careerist demoted and and or jailed
Have forgotten mission and loyalties (proof is condition of the fleets)
purchasing reform
lower the number of Base and Pentagon commands

USA are a joke! I'm not generalizing with that statement to include the population of the USA, i simply mean the US Government. All they are doing now is moving around the world stirring up SH&T. They have no business being there with such force on display, it is deliberate antagonism.
I can see it now, a US frigate "accidentally strays into Chinese waters" and gets sunk, Que USA outrage and there will be the mother of all Mexican standoffs.
