Texas Dad Catches Man Raping His Daughter, Kills Him... did he go to far????

I'm still curious as to whether the rapist was also an illegal immigrant, a possibility mentioned in one of the news stories linked here. If that is the case, would those who are opposed to the father's actions continue to feel the same way?
That would show at least two illegal actions on the behalf of the rapist. (provided the father's story is accurate of course). First, he would be in this country illegally. Second, he would be raping a small child. (in the order they occured, not the magnitude of the offense). Does that make the attack more accpetable or would it still be unacceptable in the minds of those saying it is?
Keep in mind that killing the man wasn't the intention, the intention was to get him off the child and he died as a result of the blows he recieved during the skirmish. The father didn't set out intentionally to kill him, only to defend his daughter. The death came as a result but wasn't the original intent whether it was through the perpetrator fighing back or from rage at his daughter being molested, these are inconsequential at this point as long as the molestation has been established, and it has because the child's underwear had already been removed.

I understand the crime of being here illegally but I do not want this thread to devolve into an immigration debate...

I have to respectfully ask all members here to leave this off the table. Every artificial division of humanity has bad seeds, and this thread is not about the artificial division but about something else.

I mean this as no disrespect PC, but in my eyes the attacker was part of humanity that was the scum of the earth. Where he is from has no part I can see, unless they state a prior existing relationship with the father. Then I agree it becomes fair game...

It's actually the latest thing in the news about the case, so it's what's coming up next. I'm not bringing it up to derail anything, just to carry on with the investigation as it happens. I should have posted the source... and don't want to go back looking for it, but will wait until someone else posts the source before I address it again as to not get off on that topic until we have to, deal?

In a press release issued Friday, authorities said Flores was attempting to sexually assault the girl, whose age was corrected by officials Friday to be 5 years old.

not a clean cut case but it is close

I hate violence but if I came upon a man or woman raping my grand daughter, husband or sons I would kill them.

Murder is murder and does not make it right or justified but in the heat of the moment, walking in upon seeing a family member abused in such a way I would probably kill them.

And would pay the full penalty for this act both legally and spiritually.

One thing a person who has never been raped does not realize is that once you are raped, it does not only hurt your physical body, it scares your soul and messes with your mind....................forever.

I would have preferred being murdered vs raped.

Murder would have been a mercy. Each person that has been raped has their own opinion, that is mine.

Anyone that has never been brutally raped, has no comprehension of the violation this crime entails.

His reaction seems spot on to me.
I sure as hell know if anyone tried to rape my 4 year old daughter, they pretty much signed their death warrant.

In my opinion, you couldn't go "too far" if you killed the molester twice.

the issue I have is something that can be handled post dealing with the rapist


You have to insure the nature of the relationship between victims father and the rapist. Someone else here put it best, be 100% sure no set up was involved.


As for walking in on such an act my opinion doesnt change in the fathers shoes. He was justified.

As for the laws shoes it is different.

The guy did nothing wrong in my eyes. Especially when taken in the context of the heat of the moment.
