My Band live on the radio! Tell me what you think

Hello fellow ATS muso's,

This is my band Narwhal, been going for about two years now and we go the opportunity to play live on a local radio station which was filmed. Twas pretty sweeeet.

Sounds good to me. I like that it has a older feel to it, 60's-70s-'ish. You guys play any gigs? (Bars and clubs)

Hey thanks, yea we've been playing a whole lot since the start of this year in bars mostly (and an art show) just easing our way into the Auckland music scene.

Like the poster (randomname) above me mentions, for some reason the vid being shown in this thread is not Narwhal. When I play the vid in the thread I see 2 young men doing something hip-hoppy. When I click the link to open the vid in a separate browser I see Narwhal, the video you intended. I think you need to simplify the youtube code and remove the extra stuff. You accidentally posted a playlist link, not a link to your video.

The music is nice btw, I couldn't describe the genre but I have heard elements of your songs before. (Not meant as criticism btw). A little bit Arctic Monkeys (?) in places. Nice on the ears. Good luck!

Thanks a lot, we have been called similar to them before I think it's our singers voice.

We started off inspired by a psychedelic band from Australia called Tame Impala so we began aiming for that genre but have swayed a bit into.... I don't really know what other genres

I did notice the psychedelic touches. One of my favourite bands is in that genre but they blend many types of music (world, dub, jazz) together sometimes to get there. It's not everyone's thing but I like it.

Really enjoyed that. And it does have a bit of a nostaligic sound, but I like it. Good job.
