Here, a man who was born and lived for decades in the Soviet Union
successfully converts an Occupier to Capitalism, to understand Israel's
side of the Middle East conflict, and to pro-American ideals all within a
15 minute time frame. He even thanks the man afterwards. Give
props where they're due, at least the Occupier was willing to hear the
man out without screaming in his face, unlike almost every single one of
them.

I think what we are seeing here is the typical OWS protester. The do not know what they are protesting, they are there to be part of something. But they know not what that something is, they just know “in their little minds” they want change. They have been reading some stuff on the internets about Big Corporations and that they are bad. And since they are mind numb little robots they go forth with that and wonder around with signs, arrogant as #e as to what they are really protesting.

All of them are your typical hypocrites, because they are wearing their Old Navy clothes, talking and texting with their I-Phones and checking their e-mail or twitting with their I-Pads. Not even putting a once of thought as to how big those corporations are.

So this old man who has walk the walk, is educating this young lad based on his experience with communism. Which is not a hard thing to do when their brain is full of rhetoric they acquired through sounds bites in their information circle.

This "leftist" doesn't have a problem with corporations.

What I - and OWS - have a problem with is the corporate influence over our government.

If you'd put aside your haughty and dismissive attitude and truly listen, you might grasp that.

If you honestly think the American left are Communists, well...there's not much I can do for you in that case.

yeah right, those poor misunderstood corporations...lehman bros., bear sterns, wachovia, wahington mutual, enron, worldcom, countrywide, cit...etc. all bankrupt. these companies destroyed retirement funds, college funds, 401k funds, all the while the few at the top (investors and execs) got out, while the going was good or with golden parachutes.
let's see how many american part-time, low-wage, no benefits, jobs will be created by those misunderstood corporations in the future.

If someone comes at me with,
"I'm gonna change your ideas about corporotacracy "
I'd let them think they've converted me.
It gets them away from me quicker.

*and while you still have time OP,
change Rethoric to Rhetoric.
It'll raise your cred.

you're right...this is classic right-wing divide and conquer. show a few crazies or ignorant people again and again, then portray all of OWS as the majority of those people. how many people need to die from the effects of poverty before the rest of the nation has had enough? how much lower does the standard of living of the middle class have to go before republican lawmakers either help, or are booted out of office by middle class republican voters?

What's funny here is that much of the argument is focused around indefinite detention and how under Soviet Socialism you could be grabbed off the street for no reason and poof just gone. What's section 1021 of the NDAA? The kid though he doesn't know much about the USSR knew that much and the guy from the USSR did not.

And this is where you lost credibility. I am certainly no supporter of the OWS types, but the above description applies to just about every American age 18-30. They have always known instant gratification, always been told there are no losers, and always thought everything would be handed to them. Then they met the real world.

Sorry, but most of them, right or left leaning, were simply ill prepared to face the realities of the world. I might not like the corporate influence in politics, but I damn sure don't think that everyone deserves some special coddling in regards to their own life decisions.

Get a job. Don't like it, either busy your ass to climb the ladder or find another one. Get an education. I did. It works. Don't like student loans? The accept your position in life. Start your own business. Too many out there that think they deserve to get an entry level job at $50k a year, with mandatory raises and promotions at three month intervals.
