Just wanted to say Hi to ATS, and introduce myself. I am very impressed with the wealth of information and knowledge shared here, and I have to say that I've seen nothing on the internet quite like it. Great job guys!

I have a very inquisitive mind and am excited to start posting and replying too Please send any comments my way, and I'm not afraid of a little constructive criticism. We're all here to deny ignorance and learn the truth however strange or bad it may be, right?

Honestly, there could be a book written on preferences of mine, but I have definitely came here with a willingness to learn, but also to share experiences in life that may help others to know.

I am just so impressed with this site, and I hate to sound redundant, but you guys are awesome, and I deeply appreciate the warm welcome!

Welcome. Glad you like it around here. I do too. 4 years plus and going strong. I plan to be here until the day I die. It's pretty crazy around here sometimes...But it is a great place. There are lots of rules but it all boils down to being civil to one another, really.

Don't be afraid to ask for help from mod or member alike, we are all happy to help.

I look forward to seeing you around the board and seeing what you bring to the table.

As for your avatar, it needs scaling to reduce the size so that we can see the woman behind the hair. You'll need to use some graphics software or a website but I think the above thread has info on that too. It's not too difficult. Yup, this is why I still have no avatar...

Check this thread on the regulation sizes for avatars.

However, if you want an avatar to be scaled to the size of a mini background profile, you'd need to resize it to the ATS background pizel size:

A common method used by many members to "workaround" the avatar size limitation is to use a mini-profile background image, and a clear-GIF avatar. We will continue to encourage this level of creativity in conjunction with the new avatar limitations. Pixel Space: The new "visible" space for background images is 180 pixels wide and 400-480 pixels tall (depending on other factors in your mini-profile). Maximum Pixel Dimensions: Maximum allowable mini-profile backgrounds will be 200 pixels wide by 700 pixels tall. Smaller images are repeated in the background space. Maximum File Size: Maximum file size for mini-profile backgrounds is 100k if you're using a clear-GIF as your avatar, if not, the combined file size of your avatar and background image cannot exceed 150k.

Here's a link for the clear-GIF that you need to save as your avatar..Then resize the pic you wanna use & upload it as your mini-profile background.

Ok, so at the risk of sounding really computer ignorant, I will ask how do I re-size my photo in my personal photo album? I tried to edit it in Windows, but it only gave me a zoom option. Like I needed it! lol!

This is correct size widthwise but you can go longer. When I put it to the full size limitations it seemed to stretch the face too much but if you wish to see it let me know and I will post that one too.
