Here is WNDU the local TV news channel's report...They are claming in a very brief explanation that a "website" caused the false reading. That is scary in itself it that is true. But if you read the comments to the story the locals aren't buying it either am I.

i live in indiana but i've but up there close to where the radiation levels have spiked here recently. i went skating in michigan city indiana and happened to see a rather sore sight when i came across a nuclear powerplant. as much as i hate to say it and don't mean to spread any such rumors but that radiation spike couldn't have been to far away from where i was skating at.. unless theres another plant within a 100 miles or less, i think thats the one causing a spike. i'll do some research on said subject and get back to you though.

With 2 nuke plants in SouthWest Michigan there's lots of nuke monitors one could fail every now and then. The sirens are every couple of miles probably all the way to South Bend. I have a cabin near Alpena and all is quiet but they are starting to get a bunch of attention about whats going on. Nothings going on but they will play it up for the tourist. The Guard is still doing their normal summer duty at Grayling about 80 miles south west of Alpena. The only thing I can think of is they are filming another Die Hard movie at the airport this time the summer verson

I'm not interested in why he was banned. Anyone with half a brain can see the bold print at the closing of those threads, and put 2 and 2 together.

What I want to know is whether or not he and his son were really arrested which shouldn't be that hard to verify considering arrest records are public info. Just trying to deconstruct disinformation (if it exists here).

And to the mods, I am trying to approach this from the angle that the reporter is a subject in this article. His standing as a member of ATS is of no concern to me.

Every day alls quiet matter of fact they just got a very good rating from the NRC. It's actually in Bridgman and the other is north about 30 miles in Covert. I'm in the middle. Cook the one to the south is getting ready to add another reactor in a few years. There's a bunch of nuke rated welders from all over the country showing up in about 3 weeks for work thru next summer. Thats just welders I've heard from I would imagine the pipefitters, laborers and techs will be going in at the same time. Lots of jobs in this area. Nuke welders get $1000 a day show up and work 13 days on 2 days off generally

Brother, I wouldn't presume to tell you what to do, but I want you to be careful out there. I have nearly a quarter of a century of credentials to back up my claim that I'm conducting a legitimate investigation under the 1st Amendment (and now, a lawyer from the ACLU) if the need should arise. So if I get stopped, I have a plausible explanation for what I'm doing; but if YOU get taken into custody, I'm afraid that you might be labeled a domestic terrorist and be disappeared. I applaud you for wanting to get out there, but at the same time I implore you to be VERY careful.

That's why we are here right? To learn, and "Deny Ignorance."

I consider you guys my family.

There were also high rad spikes in the Ft Bend Indiana area around the same time, very high.

Closing speech of the year, Jugger! Starts out at 9:40.

"No money, no profit. All for the well being of man kind. Let's get this $hit show together. Enough with this crap. I'm sick and tired of the people running this God damned planet. They're doing a $hit job, LOOK AT THIS...user data my a$$ [...] Let's do this $hit." Damn right. And the accent was just the cherry on the topping (no sarcasm).

Wondering if you guys have an "ATS Rant of the Year" award. I nominate Juggernog. It's Veterans like you that keep me going, good sir.

We just passed a new firework law, so the sounds have been hard to trace.

Grand Rapids here also. Haven't heard any booms but a lot of fireworks.

Hey, lower Mi. here....i've noticed an increase lately in military choppers heading north to camp grayling. Their flight path has always been directly over my neighbors property to the west whether heading north or south.

Just ten min. ago I saw a military chopper heading north, but to the east of me. Just thought it was strange and worthy of mention. Maybe it's headed somewhere else.

So beware, there may be another perspective to consider here. ATS User 'Detached Individual' mentioned that he had suspicions that Michigan was a known region where trouble could escalate quickly in the event that martial law were ever implemented. What if this whole exercise were simply that - an exercise - to agglomerate and confirm intel on the patriot movement within that region?

Or maybe that's just an added bonus of a multi-purpose drill of some sort.
edit on Tue Jun 12 2012 by DontTreadOnMe because: added links

I think it's primarily concerning to me because a lot seems to be happening in Michigan.

I'm not entirely sure it relates to martial law, but we know that the Republicans there have removed various democratic rights, implemented unjust laws without contest, and repeatedly uses "emergency laws" to pass legislation and thereby removing the Democratic right to debate it.

Has anyone considered that there could be a move by the state to secede?

When you think about it, it kind of makes sense that various states might be preparing to protect their own borders in case of a collapse. Perhaps Michigan - being a Republican dictatorship - is simply further along in the process and preparing to lock down?

When I try to put myself in the mindset of those Repubs in Michigan, with the prospect of an economic collapse, and the continuation of Obama's presidency, it seems at least plausible that the state might be taking its own measures to prepare.

Of course, that still doesn't solve the mystery of the explosion. I could just be mixing one theory with another without reason. Perhaps this was just a mining incident that was covered up, but perhaps it was something more related to the current political problems there.

I live in Northern Michigan,Been hearing loud booms and rumbling which literally last all night - I'm out in the woods,No nearby traffic,The sounds happen at night 90 percent of the time. I captured 1 daytime boom recently on video. As well the area in which these sounds come from I saw one night 2 spotlights coming out of this location (About 800 yards across the lake in the woods out the back of my house) I even captured on film 2 military choppers landing there in this said location of the sounds/spotlights. I shut the video off right when he descended as I was thinking no freaking way and I got too excited.
I was think of getting in the canoe to go see whats over in this area,Though from past experiences dealing with this type of stuff something tells me to stay away. Though if you guys think I should I will go over there with video camera and see what I can find. Google earth shows absolutely nothing but forests,Makes me ask why these choppers are landing there?

I'm working on getting the videos uploaded right now to show you all,Will be a bit due to my satellite connection

You're absolutely right. I read a few months ago (I believe) about the pig farmers and overnight their pigs being declared illegal, having to shoot their own pigs so as not to avoid being arrested and convicted as a felon for having them. From what I've read, this happened a few places in Michigan sometime late last year or early this year. What is interesting about that is that these pigs are now declared dangerous feral pigs, but they were suddenly deemed that and "appropriate measures" were taken accordingly by govt. people in Michigan, even though these were pigs locked up. They were told they could escape and mate with other pigs, etc. What makes this interesting is that this was after the hub-bub about Monsanto wanting to basically copyright pigs, the most common types, so that no one could breed the most common types of pigs because it would be illegal. By killing this other breed of pig that farmers are sustaining themselves with, well, you see how that plays out... Needless to say, these farmers/ranchers are out of business because of this.

As an aside, isn't it also in Michigan where the extremely deformed dandelions and strawberries are being found, as suspected radiation effects?

What are they doing there, coming and going or sitting still? Checkpoints of any kind? Helicopters, troop transporters, etc? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

ALL of my family lives in Illinois and prior to the FEMA stuff/conspiracies/events, I was concerned after reading months ago how FEMA was stationed at the southern Illinois border & either Kentucky or St. Louis (I think the latter). Makes me wonder what the hell is going on in the Midwest. Creeps me out, really. Glad to be in CO, but at the same time, I'd like to see this with my own eyes.
