Obama Leaves AF Academy graduation Early and Diverts Thunderbirds until he leaves

I have just heard from friends attending the Air Force Academy Graduation Ceremony that the US Aerobatic team
The Thunderbirds had to divert and waste fuel so The POTUS could leave the ceremony early to campaign in Denver.We are a swing state.Unfortunately that only left the pilots with enough fuel for 1 PASS! What a pompus piece of [snipped]!
We certainly are a swing state guess who we should swing at? I doubt his handlers even considered the issue important.They're just military they'll follow orders.

Honestly it is what it is. He causes a pain here in Las Vegas (and other cities; and "he" refers to all presidents not just President Obama) when they arrive and depart. It is especially hard on my job because I cannot do anything for 3 days when they plan on coming out. We are given the order to stop doing any work and unless it is absolutely critical (and even then it requires a lot of red tape to pass through) I won't work.

I sit around for 3 days.....waiting for who ever it is that is president to get their rocks off and get their "presidential" escorted but out of here so I can work.

So, let me get this straight. You are going to base part of your voting decision on Obama diverting an airplane demonstration that was only happening for your entertainment.
Your comment about fuel wastage is interesting. Isn't the fact that they are spending fuel to fly around so you can ohh and ahh wasteful also? You can't have it both ways.
No wonder our country is spiraling down the drain. Too many people like you base your decisions on petty, nonsensical factors.

And the Thunderbirds did complete their air show, it was just delayed a bit.


Also...this happened 3 weeks ago...your OP makes it sound like it just happened...but of course that is because you lifted this from a chain email.

The Thunderbirds are based out from Nellis here in Vegas. I seen them perform multiple times, and let me tell you, those guys are some of the best pilots in the world. Fly wingtip to wingtip only inches apart at such high speeds you cant do anything but just sit back and wonder. They attract thousands of people when they perform.

...then the music stops because the President has to try and convince everyone hes not the loser he made himself out to be. Eventhough; that in and of itself was a pretty hardcore loser move.

Their abilities and talent are not in question here. They are fantastic pilots as are the Blue Angeles -- but the spin here is trying to frame it as if the president is trying to take all the glory. He may be or he may be not, but he wouldn't be the first president nor the last for any performance to be placed on hold while they leave.

I am beginning to see a sense of unity between typically separate entities in political thought banding together to combat this ridiculousness....

I'm from Colo Spings so is my friend.he told me when he went to see the jets.

He did not cause the Thunderbirds to cancel their show, they were only scheduled to do a flyover. Check their schedule. As for the waste of fuel, these and other flights are planned and many time classified as training flights. They don't just fly to poke holes in the sky. Situations such has delays in patterns happen and they have to train for those as well.

Agreed, he should have quoted his source, rather than trying to make it a personal thread. However, it is an issue. The issue is that campaigning was more important, and this guy felt he's more important than everyone else. He's anything BUT a leader.

Doing the right things for the country while in power instead of kissing babies and stealing their lollypops would be the best campaign moves of all...

Understandably so, but given the veracity of those that come to this site and see posts such as this and allow it to confirm their stance without actually finding information or applying critical thinking, such posts offer a bit of pause.

If I needed to throw a couple sources on my post it might have made some feel better.

But than again, I dont need to quote sources when its my own opinion.

I look at the bigger issues most of the time, and in order to do that- you have to gain an opinion off experience.

Experience tells me- Obama is not a good leader.

Ive known good leaders. Hes not one of them. I have known from the beginning. he is self absorbed.
He cares not for this country- nor its people. In the end, as long as he gets what he wants- he can care less.
Even the OP of this thread helps proves that.

I was alive and aware the past 4 years, I know what the man is. My opinion of him wont change because he has already shown me what he is.

His lying campaign wont change that.
