I had a cat die recently, my fur child. I swear to God I see her out of the corner of my eye once and a while. It is usually in her favorite spot, down below the curtain covering the patio door. Two nights ago, it was most significant because it lasted the longest (maybe one whole second?). I managed to catch some color, and noticed that although she was mostly gray colored in this life, her spiritual color was a much darker gray, almost black, but not totally. I only caught her butt and tail as she made her way under the curtain.

Do you ever see the spirits of your dead pets out of the corner of your eye?

I havent seen te spirit of my pet, no. But after my dog passed, due to my decision, I didnt talk about it for a few weeks. Finally one night I talked to my brother about it, and as I mentioned his name, a meteorite flew across the sky. It was cool. I felt a sentimental acceptance. Then on the 1 year anniversary, I had a received a call that was of great news, or relief, as the call relieved me of having to pay a large expense to fix my car. I was shocked and started to look up in relief, ad I saw a cloud that looked just like my dogs face.. Since then I have seen some clouds peeking that look like him... And sometimes I mention to people that my dogs got 1 more miracle to go to be a saint..
. Good luck Rocky!

a friend of mines dog died of old age, the dog used to sleep at the top of the stairs with its old tartan blanket.
some months later i was running up stairs to go to the toilet and stumbled over something that wasnt there...strangely in the same way as i used to stumble over the old dog that lay in that stupid place..

Yes I do. Specifically my cat. He was and is my child, my fur baby.

I have had a few familiar friends and they tend to wait and linger if you dwell on them.

He still rubs past my pant legs when Im quiet and need a hug.

I cant wait till we meet up on that bridge we will have lots to catch up on.

Peace & cheers to you and yours.

Sylvia Browne, the famous psychic, told in one of her books that sometimes our pets will come around us after passing, especially when we think of them.

I had a 20lb part Persian tom cat that was my baby for 16.5 years. The vet had to euthanize him due to his kidneys shutting down from old age. I held him in my arms as he passed away. I cried for weeks.
It will be three years the 22nd of this month since I lost him.
Sometimes when I'm at the computer, I feel what I think is my female cat rubbing around my legs, but when I look down she is no where around. So, yes, I think it is him when that happens. I have also seen a small shadow walking around in the kitchen out of the corner of my eye sometimes when my female cat is in my lap.
It makes me happy he is still with me.

Sometimes I feel my cat jump up on the bed, when i look over she is not there. I have always thought it was the ghost of my previous kitty.

Yes, I see my cats that have passed on, too.
And, once, I felt one of them come and sit on my bed when I was reading before sleeping.
Just like he used to.
I felt him nestle my legs, pad me with his paws and settle down to sleep.
I didn't look down. I just switched off the light and went to sleep, too.

We used to have a cat that was my wife's from her childhood. He died at the age of 18 and she thinks she has seen him since then. As for me, I have heard something like the sound he used to make (loud quacking sounding meow) but I try to explain it away as something else.

I did.
My ex-gf and I had a cat that was very, very sick, and very, very loved. He had a fatal disease, and he was with my ex (who lived over three hours away from me) when he passed away. We were heartbroken.
A few days later, I was laying on the couch watching tv. As I was watching tv, from my peripheral vision, I saw our cat walk out from underneath the coffee table. It didn't register with me at first, but all of sudden it did, and when I moved my eyes to look, there was nothing there.
The following day, I was sitting on my recliner on my laptop, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw movement. There was a spot in the dining room here where our cat liked to just sit and hang out. In my peripheral vision, I saw...clear as day...our cat sitting there, just watching me. When I moved my eyes to focus on that area, he just vanished.
Both of these sightings were very clear and very solid, and those were the only two times that has happened.
In my heart, I feel that it was his way of coming to say goodbye to me.

Sorry for the loss OP (and everyone else who has lost pets).

I have the same type of experience as others on this thread. I have written about it on ATS before as well. Sometimes when I'm trying to sleep I feel the cat jump up on the bed and walk around at the foot of the bed. I have a cat now as well but she does not sleep in my room during the week so it isn't her (my cat Lovey is only allowed to sleep in there during the weekend since I'm a light sleeper and have to wake up early for work). We lost our last cat at the end of 2010 and my boyfriend and I have both felt her on the foot of the bed since then. Sometimes it is kinda scary/annoying so I will let her know that all I want to do is sleep and it will usually stop.

Recently I also saw a shadow out of the corner of my eye while I was on the computer and right then my phone that was sitting next to me fell over (it was sitting propped up) as well so that was weird and may be related.

So, I believe that they can visit us.

Just as an aside, it's so weird... I never really had any type of paranormal occurances happen to me personally before the end of 2009. I either wasn't paying attention before or something changed. But it seems like things happen a lot more often to people I know these days.

At my last house of 3 years, my roommate had a cat.

I recently moved out to a new place with no pets. Its been about 9 months, but I still see the cat out of the corner of my eye at times. I also "feel" him running past me every time I open the sliding glass door.

Memories are what haunts us.

Something has changed. These things ARE happening a lot more these days. The world is becoming a much stranger place.

When I lived in my old apartment, there were a few situations where I would crawl into bed and shut off the light. A few seconds later, I would feel a cat jump onto my bed and slowly walk up the bed to where my head was. I would turn on the light, expecting to see my cat. There was nothing there. I would open the shut bedroom door, and my cat would be in the living room laying in the couch. There was NO possible way it was my cat because the door was shut. I just assumed it had been a cat who had lived there at one time.

I did for a while. My wife and I would be watching TV and I would see what I thought was her (then cat) racing across the floor in front of us like she would do. Other times I would see her nreflection in a smaller TV we have right next to the main one, going to her bowl area or just wandering. Even my wife sometimes would ask me if I "saw that"...the cat running across the floor. And coming from her was something for she was a total nonbeliever.

Our family treats our pets much like human family members ... actually better now that I think about it.

My sister has had several experiences seeing her pets that had passed on. Once her new puppy walked down to the creek where her last dog had been buried weeks before, sat down on the grave and started howling. It was both amazing and heartbreaking. I myself have seen out of the corner of my eye what I think is my cat only to turn around and find out that nothing is there. This has just started happening this past month and I have had my two cats for 10 years, so I'm not quite sure what to think about this.
