So I had to pick up a car today to work on it and found a plate inside which I picked up to move so it didn't get broken but read it and thought it might be of help to some of you people or may just interest you. I took these photos with my phone so they aren't as good of quality as I would have liked. But maybe some of you will be able to recognize the symbols on the plate.

Obviously this is a New Zealand free mason group as you will see on the plate.

I have close up pictures of each symbol around the side but there are a few so I will only upload them if you request me to

Hope any of this helps

Thanks for reading

The symbols are the Collar Jewels of the various Lodge Officers.

Is it my imagination, or is the Junior Warden missing?

I wouldn't mind if you posted the individual pictures of the symbols...that's of course if you feel like it

What does the star in the square and compass represent? Anyone know? I thought that the G should be there...

You get a star and flag from me! Quite a beautiful plate and in the blue color of Israel no less ^_^

I've noticed that masonic craftsmanship is very fine indeed and their symbols are always represented beautifully and with mathematical precision.

I believe the style of this plate is "Flow Blue".

My mother in law collects Flow Blue antique plates. I believe if they are original they are quite valuable.

Thank you for sharing this!

The G in the middle of the square and compass is primarily a US thing. Not being a world traveler, I cannot speak as to what is different in other countries, but I have heard that other places do not have a "g" in that symbol.

English Freemasonry doesn't have G in its Square and Compasses.

However, the letter and its symbolism is still explained and features quite prominently in the second degree, and appears on the tracing board.

From its position relative to the other officers' jewels on the plate, I suspect it is the Junior Warden's jewel. This is a different symbol from what we use in the States....here, the Junior Warden's jewel is the plumb.

There's a circle with a Dragon in it too, looks like a NASA patch.

Which one are you looking at? I don't see the dragon.

I think that's a dove, i.e., the Chaplain's jewel.

Sorry for the late reply and I don't know how much these photos will help as they aren't the best quality.
