Everytime I see the ny state provided psychologist she trolls me. to keep me talking about non issues. she does akind troll thing where she knows im about to make a point she distracts me to stop me from making it. if she was recording it sometimes she gets me to stop in the middle of a sentence where at that point if recorded makes me sound harmful even know my tone isent, this could be and entrapment because what i said at that point is whatever she makes of it in a future court situation. She also trolls me when Im simply trying to explain my living situation and she always trys to keep me off that. I usely describe environment then whats occurring and my actions but the way she trolls me she gets me stuck so much that I cant describe one of these factors.

This lady talks weird and she leaves you feeling like you have been talking to a politician, and she uses what politicians use in debates, on me. It feels like you get no where talking to her.

I can switch psychologists but im amazed at the damages she can and does somewhat couase. there appears to be a sort of model to the things im going threw. It appears to be tageted at me, so perhaps someone made a model of my mind.

so if there is a experiment or test and she uses mostly language cues, and some body language, even faces that seem very tied into the NLP used on me by a different individual. If this is so and damaging should she be using these unique cues? like saying "you should sleep on your laptop" when talking about break-ins into my apartment. thats a NLP cue.

This works as shee can keep me talking about something by saying she doesn't belive and a normal person if they heeded her to believe they would keep trying

Ive noticed that she wanted me on a pill the first day, and dident want to take time figuring out if i needed it, and dident want to take the time to figure out the side effects that might not work for me. Right now i have an antidepressant and its hard to tell yet if it works, month in and it seems to harm me. shees always trying to pressure me to get onto another med, but i want to see if this one works first. the next visit says same thing. It doesnt seem a good idea to take another pill while your already trying one.

Sounds like shes doing more damage than good, get rid of her. Their supposed to listen to you, not interrupt you and question you mid sentence, that's just unprofessional - How can she come to a conclusion when she hasn't even listened to the 'problem'.

Maybe shes low on clients and wants to keep you there, maybe she's trolling you to make you think you have more 'problems' than you actually have? Either, she needs getting rid of, buddy. Shes doing you no good.

I am just wondering, how old are you Floorplans? Where are you from?

I ask because I have noticed all of your post are filled with spelling mistakes and grammatical errors. I know that every makes those mistakes every once and a while but, ALL of your posts have the same mistakes?

I am a counselor so I will try and give you some insight.

1. The psychologist's task is to make you think along alternative lines, to alter your thoughts, to redirect you.

2. If you do not like or trust this one the you MUST change. If you can not trust then you will get nothing from the sessions.

3. It will depend on why you are there. If you are being assessed only then you need to be careful and the tactics being used are not professional. If you are there to get help then see 1 above.

Hope this helps. I will reiterate the point, if you don't trust the psychologist then find another one.

she probably looked at your case history to determine what pills you should go on.. its pretty standard to do that after one interview.

Shes supposed to talk like a politician.. shes not there to be your friend, and manipulating the conversation is actually a skill that psychologist practice.

The thing is some of them are good at being friendly while remaining unattached. some of them are just unattached.

It is entirely believable that she has an agenda and is trying to get you to think/say certain things. You should change therapist and go with one you are more comfortable with. Therapist sometimes have transference(technical term for them pulling their previous emotional baggage about others onto you) and that can comprimise the relationship.

Either way just try someone else. If your not comfortable and you think shes not there to help you then that interferes with therapy and thats pretty much her fault/unprofessionalism/bad chemistry.

I have a B.A. in psych and work with crazies.

No offence to you nor the OP but the OP is trying to cope with a mental illness and I have seen it many times during ward rounds that the psychologist is trying to divert certain thoughts away by talking about something different and then later the patient tells me "that psychologist is trying to make me think this etc" when in fact the psychologist did not say anything of the sort.
Mentally ill people can have a innocent conversation with someone but later in their own mind they analyse it wrongly and jump to wrong conclusions which to anyone who is not mentally ill seems odd or just mental.

To the OP write down all your worries about your psychologist and in your next session bring them up, if your still not happy ask for a new one.
Hope you get better soon and good luck

I am not perfect and have never claimed to be so. Check to Op's posting history, humor me.

I don't call people out for a single error, but a constant stream of nonsense I do.

You seem to have a fascination with NLP or neural linguistic programing and an out right fear of being manipulated through speech patterns. It an underlying condition of a symptom called extreme paranoia disorder and it leads your thoughts down a path that consistently searches for reasons to be paranoid. Your mind is always trying to find a reason why someone is taking advantage of you. The cause is a extremely traumatic experience where your trust was betrayed.

you internalized this traumatic event and focused this like some people do and took blame for it. The reason you took blame for it was because you secretly feel you could have avoided it, which is another issue where you felt your not smart enough at the time. You have low self esteem. You now are consistently searching for signs.

You need to except the thought that your reasoning is off and its your thought pattern of searching for a potential abuser is whats driving this paranoia. If you don't it will ruin every relationship you will ever have because you will always be a victim. Your making your own hell.

The hard part is of this is letting go because it will make you feel helpless without it. To make thing worse you might run into a very manipulative person who might abuse your trust because you doubt your reasoning this might cause a relapse.

To all the people who put this poster down I would like you to think of what it would be like to be in his shoes. Feel what he feels and wonder what it would be like to not be able to trust your own reasoning. This site isn't conducive to your mental health so take some time off and try your hardest to trust your psychologist.

You know what's amazing, before I even clicked this thread I said floorplan. Tell me how I knew it was you? So, now you believe your psychologist is purposely stalking you? You really need to get off this trip because it's not healthy for you or others. Not everyone is out to get you.

The irony here is the last thing a mentally ill person needs is someone treating them like a test subject. No offence OP, as I don't know your current situation. Just that psychology in itself is such a strange area. One could throw out conditions for 99% of the planet, then start offering their "treatment" if given the chance.

So, so true. Psychologists are people that look for things that are wrong. Much like the over protective parent they are spreading the doom talk constantly. My friend is a psychology student and every time someones behavior is mentioned he goes on some massive diagnosis. Not everything is so deep yet to all the psychologists/students I know it seems to be that way to them.
