Like "Radio Free America" - they publish the PROHIBITED truth into an oppressed nation. That's both legitimate AND propaganda.

The sort of propaganda that's worth watching while remaining cautious of the implications. Ready for a life threatening revolution? How long till doing nothing becomes life threatening? RT might give us a clue. OR NOT. But like more information is better - so is more discernment.

i can tell you that , RT in regards to matters outside of Russia seem to be str8 forward, however when it comes to matters inside russia they seem to be just like any other news agency out their , i know this to be true , because i am currently studying the conflict in Chechnya and dagastan , and using alternate news sources you start to see the real picture , when 5 news outlets in russia tell the same story and the other 1 puts a twist on it , you start to see FOX NEWS !!!

The fact that people are actually starting to ask this question is a good sign....

Nothing comes from RT but Pro-Russian Anti-Western crap. If you think otherwise you need to sort your life out.
For example, during last summers England riots they reported that Lions had been released from London zoo and were prowling the streets of London...complete made up BS to try and make the situation look worse than it was.

I figure if you want the truth about "the west" then watch RT. IF you want the truth about Russia then watch some Western news station

They're both not too bad when talking about the other side, but they have no real ability to self-criticise. For that reason RT, even though its good on some issues, will always be a propaganda outlet like all other news stations

Everyone is slanting something. I don't think RT is particularly any worse than some western news stations, just different in agenda

RT is the only news network i choose to watch, I find the topics on there interesting and not set from a bias western point of view, I also enjoy hearing about news in Russia.

I am very surprised at how much some of the repliers in this thread downplay (in their wording) the level or degree of propaganda that CNN and other US stations partake in. I mean, it is not like a little, or "some"... it is just waaaay over the top propaganda. It is outrageous, obscene, propaganda; deception of the highest degree.

Its not like they are just trying to sway your opinion. They create highly elaborate and orchestrated deceptions.

My favorite being this one during 9-11 when they interview some "random" spectator on Fox News, who just happens to know exactly why the buildings fell, only minutes after the occurrence.

It's clearly propaganda, but a lot of truth comes through, and they bring up a lot of interesting topics that Western MSM would not touch.

RT have been doing a great job with Syria and Libya, trying to make people aware that NATO agents have been sent in to create humanitarian problems as a pretext for intervention

RT is good for news relating to American issues and news relating to the globalist elites. They ask the most difficult questions and even report on what most people call "conspiracies." RT always covers the Bilderberg meetings pretty thoroughly(1). However, for news regarding Russia they're clearly biased (pro-Russian).

I watch RT for world news because they aren't biased, they report both sides of the story pretty well, they report on both sides in Syria and the occupy, and even call out other MSM channels who are just blatantly wrong, I watch many programs on the channel and there pretty good. But yeah of course they'd be biased towards Russia it's the channels origin, it would make no sense to slam their own country when other channels do enough of it, I like hearing about the real Russian politics though, biased but at least we can have a little bit of insight rather to the BBC comparison of a corrupt government who kill anyone who gets in their way.

There is no such thing as a non- propaganda news outlet. RT has its share of propaganda stories like any other news outlet.
