Absolutely. I was outside and noticed when it just started but didn't pay much attention. I just thought to myself that I could have sworn it was a full moon earlier tonight. Then I got a call from the mother in-law telling me that there is a partial eclipse happening.

Looks like the mother-in-law might be good for something after all.

That's what normally always happens on the east coast whenever there is something interesting happening.

Hope it clears up for you.

So, that's what it was...
Thanks for the heads up, as soon as I took some crappy pictures and video I logged on on ATS to see if
somebody had reported it.

Viewtiful spectacle, I just wish somebody had told us before...

Great view from here in SEQ, it's putting on an awsome show - moonlit night with crystal clear skies.

Yeah I'm here in SEQ too, yay go Queenslanders!!

Also to the WA commenter who said there is clouds blocking your view. Just to let you know even if they weren't there it would still be barely visible from WA and you could only catch a glimpse of it at sunset. But other than that it was a great spectacle, can't wait for the Venus transition due to happen in a few days time the first time in 220+ years!!! Exciting.
