Olympic Mascots Kang and Kodos

With talk of Project Blue Beam being revealed at the Olympics, does anyone else see the likeness of Simpson's character's Kang and Kodos to the Olympic Mascots?

There's been a lot of questions about the olympic mascot's image, but hadn't really thought of it and then saw this.

Project Blue Beam may be unveiled. However, under what circumstance? How can you three dimensially, flawlessy trick a quarter of a million people?
